Hard to ask for much more out of 2 sps than you will get out of lincy/halladay...so you are set in that regard...

Good pitching but I feel that your hitting is going to suffer some.

Kind of hard to say how well your team is when we don't know if it is a points based league or rotisserie style. With that said, for a 12 team league, I think your hitting is kind of weak. If it is rotisserie, you will not be doing well in saves and steals. To be honest, your starting pitching is the only thing I see that great.

Its a head to head league my team has some pop and they all hit around 280 but like you said they dont steal to much hopefully roberts and jones can steal this year. I defiantly need 1 more big bat in the lineup but dont want to give up my pitchers in order to do so

also for my team you get points for HRs,Avg,runs,Sb,RBIs,wins, saves,Ks,era and whip

based off last year my team has the average and has the runs my starting 9 had a total of 197 hrs and i had 4 guys over 85 rbis and als i had 2 guys with over 25 or more steals(roberts and bartlett each w/ 30)

Here's my problem with pitching too early:

1. They get hurt.
2. You're essentially paying for K, WHIP, and ERA.
3. Wins are too random outside of counting on maybe 13-14.
4. ...and they obviously don't get saves.

There are plenty of hitters that'll contribute to 5 categories at a great rate.

I'm all for drafting pitchers, but you should immediately trade them for a position player upgrade + 2nd-3rd tier pitcher.

Honestly, it takes one mediocre pitcher to essentially ruin the upgrades you receive from the Halladays and Lincecums of the world.

When you look at your pitching though, you're wasting so much of what Lincy and Halladay offer with those lower tier guys.

I'd have no problem trading those mid-tier guys for hitters and either pick up, or trade for, proven 7th-8th inning guys.

Halladay Lincecum + 5 guys at 1.15 + 9K/9 and 3K/BB and 0 Saves

makes a lot more sense than..

Halladay Lincecum +2 relievers that could easily Drop 4.5ERAs over the course of the entire season.

I have no clue about the activity of your league, but unless you plan on working the waiver wire hard for Andrew Bailey type closers, you're probably going to be bottom 3 in saves and win maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks.

The ratio guys on good teams generally give you enough wins to stay competitive. It's not tough to find guys that'll give you 7-12 cheap wins which isn't that much less than you'd get from the starters..

Either way, it's all preference.
