rapper/actor DMX will make his MMA debut in the co-main event at Alabama Pride against Eric Martinez on Dec. 12 in Birmingham, Ala.
The bout is being dubbed a 'celebrity fight,' though Martinez' IMDb profile reveals he has only had four small acting gigs and is the CEO of record label Powermoves Entertainment out of Albuquerque, N.M.
There's no word on where or how long DMX -- real name, Earl Simmons -- has been training. However, he does have the edge in martial arts movies over Martinez, starring in "Exit Wounds" with Steven Seagal and "Cradle 2 the Grave" alongside Jet Li.
Alabama Pride will be headlined by a match between heavyweight sluggers David (Tank) Abbott and Eric (Butterbean) Esch.
