Anyone know how rare these are? Does the seller have the facts right?

They're great looking cards.

They really are nice looking cards, my scanner hated it, but they look great in hand.

That sounds about right on the skylines set...it's kind of overlooked in the difficulty to obtain category. PCs grab them, but really don't seem to respect them much.

Player collectors: Would you prefer your guy be included in a set that is super rare/expensive or are you happier they aren't... ie.. my guy isn't in the Crusade set. I haven't decided if I'm happy about that or not.

tough call.

three of my Four Fools are in the Crusade set, and all four are in the '96 Mirrors
Thankfully, only two are in the '97 Totally Certified, and i was able to close the book on that beast of a set!

My guy isn't in '96 Certified, Crusades, or Credentials. I'm torn whether that's good or not. I got his '97 Totally Certified Platinum in 1997 or '98 for $10 thankfully. :)

Whom do you collect?

It's bitter sweet. It's nice once you get that card...but it's a huge pain having that gaping hole in your PC until you fill it! :D

+1
I say to myself it would sure would easier if he wasn't in that set and then once you get it your like.......... EUREKA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just don't expect to get every card since my guy is like one of the top 3 expensive wise. It's just a bonus that I get a tough card every now and then since I don't have deep pockets.

Personally, I just suck it up and buy the cards I need, even if they are super rare. Thankfully, my players aren't nearly in the Nomo/Griffey price range, so it's easier for me to stomach.

People hate Burbanks prices on alot of this stuff, but in the past couple months they helped me add so many missing pieces to my collection. Cards I never thought I would find, let alone all at once.

I am actually about to buy my last one from them for a while.

yay, i contribute too. since there still seems to be a little confusion and i FINALLY got in the diamond axis /50.

00000.jpg

top row:leaf base (shortprint), fractal matrix (he was a bronze, meaning x-axis, print run 1600), fractal matrix die-cut (bronze x-axis, print run 400), diamond axis (#ed to 50)
bottom row: leaf fractal foundations (#ed /3999), leaf fractal materials (he was plastic, x-axis, #ed /3250 (3050)), leaf fractal materials die-cut (plastic, x-axis, #ed /3250, only first 200 die-cut), leaf x2 axix (#ed /20)

and to the guy that bought the 1997 ultra retail box, do you plan to bust it? because you beat me on the best offer option but i only need the box (of course i saw your dibs, predatorkj). its retail so you CANNOT pull the ortiz RC and you only get one hit, being a gold top 30. i need a scan on the box to go with the hobby box:

and i still need the stinkin platinum....feels like ive missed out on it about 5 times now.

Is that series 1 or 2 that you won? Also, were Platinum Medallions hobby only?
EDIT- I see it now

i dont need the wrappers, but yes, the mr. predatorkj, another fellow bagwell collector was interested in just the box for the bagwell picture it has on it. it is series two. and brewerandy is also correct, you CANNOT pull any parallels, NO gold NOR platinum medallions. you just get one TOP 30 insert per pack and should pull one TOP 30 Gold medallion per box. and after busting 4 hobby boxes a while back, the cards are prone to being stuck together.

Nothing special, but I found this is a stack of cards today.

my cousin would appreciate that card if he saw it.. he collects Omar which I give him a hard time about all the time.. funny thing is he probably has an outside shot at the Hall now in the steroid era.
