Beautiful card, I hope to find one of Andruw someday...Last one sold for close to $500 then got graded BGS 10

Sounds familiar. I bought this raw maybe about 6 months ago and sent to BGS in October. These are very flimsy. If you can get one that hasnt really been held too tight between a set of fingers (they indent REALLY easy from what Ive heard), it should 10 almost everytime.

Just found a "blast masters" insert in an old box. These were actually pretty cool looking.

I still haven't seen one in person but noticed they're laminated or something of the sort. Are they actually smaller than regular cards? :(
i know the 1998 were print run of 50
how about the 1997's?

I always thought Encore was underappreciated. My guy isn't in the set. Is that #'d?

I thought it would be cool to find the 8A and 8C cards to go with my Grace 8B 1999 Stadium Club Triumvirates. So I went on eBay this week and did a search. I ended up getting these three cards for $.99 + shipping. And they're all Luminescents, the mid level scarcity. I love the 90's!

Couldn't agree more! The Encores are gorgeous in person!

Those skylines are really sweet but I still have no idea why they book so darn high still.Man that was a tough auction to win.I wasn't sure what it would go for.

Beckett states that these were inserted in magazine packs at a ratio of 1:29. I don't know about you other player collectors, but I only remember seeing around 2 of my guy listed on eBay over the last 3 years or so and each time they sold very well. Either alot of the magazine packs were not opened, the insetion rate is way off, or both. When I look up Frank Thomas '96 Pinnacle Skylines on Becketts website, it shows 2 haves (1 is mine) and 3 wants. I know this doesn't mean much but for instance when I search for Frank's '93 Finest Refractor it shows 7 haves and 2 wants. Just throwing that out there. Not saying that they are rarer than '93 Finest Refractors, but for a card inserted 1:29 packs they sure are scarce.

Definitely legit. According to my '07 Standard Catalog, these were the actual printer's proofs used to produce the set. They were inserted 1:25 packs - /50 parallels also exit. I had to do some searching through my Shawn Green box before I found mine - it's #19 as a proof, while Green's base card in the set is #71. 2000 Crown Royale parallels are base, Limited Series (silver foil instead of the base gold and stamped /144), Red (base parallel released in retail packs), Platinum Blue (/75) and Premiere Date (/144), proof (no print run specified) and /50 parallel proof.

There is another version supposedly and it says serial on the checklist which I guess means its serial numbered.Anyone know what these are numbered to?
50

So, who's got the rainbow? We wanna see! :D

So I'm 16 days late, but I managed to finish off this set during that time. :D
