Hi! I have been trying to figure out how many 1996 Topps Gallery Player's Private Issue cards were made available to the public in packs.

If 999 were made and 100 went to the player, while 400 more were "destroyed" by Topps, then only 499 were seeded into packs?
Any thoughts or guesses?

Someone asked about the 1997 Pinnacle Coins many pages back!
I think that the Silver Coins were EXTREMELY hard to get!
I was able to get one, though, from Ebay and sent it in for grading.
Let me know what you guys think and, also, do you know the Odds of getting a silver coin in the packs?

Here's one of my favorites, and a relatively recent addition to my collection.

I preferred the silvers from 98 since they came with a certificate... (97 and 98 shown)

the 1997's came with the certificate too, and say "fine silver' on the back of the coin.
Maybe you could send your two to psa (or bgs if you prefer) for grading! The coin in the card you have is the 97 nickel because it doesn't have a 'proof' finish.

Any player collectors have this card for their collection? Not mine although I have an un-numbered version.

i like the 98s better also but ive never seen either bagwell silver coins. did the 97 silver coins not come with a paper certificate of authenticity? in general the 97 silver coins seems more difficult to find than the 98s. does anyone have a solid gold coin. they issued redemptions for them and with the bankruptcy would any be floating out there????

also that is a sweet 1998 pinnacle mirror artist proofs 1/1. i have had the pudge and miguel tejada. both are in japan now and i wished i had saved the pics

The 1997 Pinnacle Coins Solid Gold Redemptions are 1 of 1's!!! I have seen some and they go for four figures (I think I saw the Mcgwire maybe 8-9 years ago on ebay. I don't remember the price, and since I fail to recall I must have realized it was clearly out of my reach.)

Just a quick '97!

Can you all believe that for 1996, Fleer and Topps both released inserts named "Road Warriors"
Was this intentional??

Player collectors may be interested in this variation. 1998 Pinnacle, Stats on the back are different.

Well, last ones for today.
Would this card qualify as a 90's insert??

I only have the un-numbered version as well. Although the numbered version is the version you want, the un-numbered (back doored/replacement, whatever) ones are still very hard to find.
