RAZOR drying up?

Chris, I fully understand that as I've followed all of the Razor thread's & this was discussed extensively in one of them. We'll have to agree to disagree on this as I do not think that was a good price (& I would much rather purchase the USA Independance Day Red Auto of Pedro Alvarez- which is reported to have a print run of only 10...& for less $$$ )... If I wanted a USA trapped auto, I'd buy a USA trapped auto (it was posted on this board that these Tri-Star auto's were cut from the Upperdeck USA auto'ed card's- UGH :|

Show me an Upper Deck autographed in ball point pen and then we'll discuss...that being said, these are NOT from Upper Deck USA trapped autographs.

You guys make good points.

I guess I just figured it to be like Chrome where I could pick up 25-30 Autos no problem, and I'm sitting at like 5 without a lot of new stuff coming up.

Maybe my expectations were off.

this isn't a bash on razor, but chrome= busted by more people, tends to hold its resale value, etc., so clearly there's going to be more chrome available, even in the 'offseason.'

if razor cases showed a decent sign of getting me a return on my $ (like chrome, 07 elite, 07 sterling, etc.), i'd rip them til the cows come home. however, the reality is that your avg razor case break will not give me that chance, so i'll continue ripping things that do...like a product that produces a brent lillibridge superfractor that i just sold for $218 lol FAB return on just 1 case, esp. as i'd bought it for 400ish w/the live.com/other discounts, have ALL autos + parallels left, have already made $ on what little of the base cards i've sold, etc.

Happens with every product, every year.

i don't think less people are breaking big amounts of product, but i think people are def. becoming more selective in the products they break. 08 razor didn't make the cut in terms of 'proving' high resale value, like bowman, bowman chrome, bowman draft, topps series 1, topps chrome, bowman heritage, bowman sterling (though i'm not a fan of this year's), donruss elite, etc. did. so why put $ into razor when i can (+ will continue) putting $ into 07 bcdp cases which HAVE + which WILL continue providing me w/pretty much a guaranteed $ maker? add in the live.com discount (when active) + it was imo a FAR better choice to p/u 07 bcdp cases for 400ish (w/live.com, bigcrumbs, ebay bucks, etc. discounts) than to p/u either razor or 08 bcdp.
