I know it has not been confirmed how many of each Exclusive Autos there are of each player but does anybody have an estimate? They are selling for less than the regular numbered autos. Take for instance the Beckham autos. The regs are about 45 and the exclusives are about 35 (just an average for both). I was under the assumption that the exclusives are much rarer or was I assuming wrong.

I think I heard somewhere that the base autos are considered the true rc autos for these players and the exclusive autos are considered insert autos. That might account for some of the price difference.

As far as print runs go, I have no idea.

A print run for these would be nice, especially since I pulled a Beckham :D

Actually, some of the exclusives are selling for more than the #'d version, even though it's technically an insert set.

....then again, the prices are going up and down the spectrum on all players, so its hard to figure.

I had just looked at Tim Beckham. I also pulled one. The way I see it there are more Beckham Exclusives on ebay then /499s. Is it once again because sellers are just trying to sell the "Money" card they pulled?

There are a good amount of copies, but it is still less than 1k per card, that's my only guess.

I asked Brian this the other day. He said the Beckham base auto /499 was considered the true rookie auto, while the other was unumbered and considered an insert auto.

Actually, it's up to the collector to decide, not the manufacturer.

It's not like he's forcing anyone to decide, it was just that was their intentions when they were produced.

I like them both it makes it easier to get a RAZBOW of your guy for instance I have the /499,/199 and the /25(I bought this one) of wieters and if all goes well I will have the /5 silver ink version this evening Therefore I will have completed his RAZBOW for the "RC" side of his.

The collector always decides really. The exclusive autos make it a bit easier to get a hit of a guy like beckham, where, if it were only the 499 auto available he'd be a real tough pull.

Traditionally inserts have never been considered rookie cards. I don't see that changing with Razor's release.

By definition, non of the Razor cards will be rookie cards... they are all pre-rookie cards.

By MLB's newfangled definition you are correct. By the accepted hobby definition, not necessarily.

Why is Razor being so hush hush about this vs. being upfront like everything else? The market will figure out? Perhaps the market will figure out they paid the exclusives so much they had to have them sign boat loads of cards. Base card auto, parallel auto, etc. each in high quantities all water down the price. We know there are /499, /199 & /25's if the ES's are /999 that's 1,722 to go around. Let's hope it is not that high.
