Just talked to Brian about this product in general, and he asked me a question that I figured I'd pass along to all of you, as I'm still not sure of the answer myself.

He tells me the checklist will consist of no more than 12 players, and that they will all be good names, such as Buster Posey and Matt Wieters (the "worst" player will be Tyson Ross - sorry for the choice of words, Scuba). One of his ideas would be to make the redemptions a mystery, so that you wouldn't know which player's redemption you pulled from packs.

Or, of course, he could print each player's name on the front of each redemption card.

As a bit of a comparison, you guys have seen the WBC mystery redemptions in Bowman Sterling do quite well on eBay.

I don't think he's quite finalized the checklist yet, but he assured me there will be no more than 12 players.

Which option would you prefer, and why?

Opinions welcomed. Thanks.

I wouldn't mind a redemption, just don't let it take 3 months or so like UD and Topps do. 30-45 days would be fine as long as the checklist is good.

That's not up for debate - we're talking about a FULL jersey, not just a piece. Since he obviously can't fit an entire jersey into a box of cards, he's making them redemptions.

Nope. I think it's kind of a dumb idea in the case of all of the players being 'good'. The mystery works well when you're taking a chance, like in Sterling. You could get a star, or a scrub who'll never be heard from again.

But something like this, if they're all 'good', I'd just want to know who I was getting. Especially if I were buying one on the secondary market. If I were after the Wieters for example, I wouldn't want a 1:12 shot of getting him.

That said, this product is the furthest thing from my tastes so I could be missing some huge factor or something.

the jerseys are in house, I expect them to ship quickly.

They don't have to wait for an athlete to sign.

I would like to see the jersey redemptions stated, however the mystery element would probably do more for the secondary market sales of the redemption cards.

j, before i answer, i have a question about the full jersey's. you said 12 player's in the checklist but are there only 1 of each, making it total of 12 jerseys in the entire product OR from the 12 player checklist, there are multiple jerseys per player? if so, how many jersey's did brian acquire per player? 5 or 10 or more?

if there are a total of 12 jersey's in the entire product, mystery

if there are multiple jersey's per player, then print on the redemption what player you will get

also, print run on how many jerseys total per player would be great, maybe at the site or whatnot

There will be 12 total jerseys in the entire product, i.e. 12 1/1's.

There will be 12 total jerseys in the entire product, i.e. 12 1/1's.

if that is the case, i would rather it be mystery!

Do not make these mystery redemptions....please!

It should say Congratulations, blah, blah, blah...Brett Wallace USA Jersey.

I believe sales will be better and customers will be happier.

I agree. I would much prefer to know the player rather than it be a myster.

How long would it take to ship if they weren't mysteries?

I guarantee the people who go after thier favorite player's jersey won't mind waiting an extra day or 2.

BG, all I can say is that I would be a major player for the Brett Wallace jersey...if they are mystery, I wouldn't touch the redemptions.

Just my opinion, but it I think that knowing the player would reward a box buster more.

DISCLAIMER - THIS IS JUST A "DEVIL'S ADVOCATE" POINT OF VIEW, AND NOT NECESSARILY MY OWN; AND CERTAINLY NOT AN ACCUSATION

Because Brian has been involved with speaking directly with many people on this board, and Razor is certainly small enough of a company to pull it off, one could think that "mystery" redemptions could be a way to direct more desirable jerseys to certain people.

Again, I'm not accusing anyone of improprieties, and I personally think Brian would be above such a thing. But that's not to say there won't be people out there who like to come up with conspiracy theories.

And, I have none on order, so it doesn't matter to me in the slightest.
