Actually that's a great point about the silhouette making it harder to fake patches. Definitely would be better with logos but I have to say the way they cropped the cards and the design really make it not a big issue for me. For me it's going to come down to price point, the checklist and break down of what you get in a pack or box.

The more I look at the sample cards the more I gotta say that I really think the lack of licensing is going to hurt the product. Notice that the cards don't say team names as well as not having logos. I really feel that the more I look the cards over it is just a glaring defect that makes the cards look...cheap. It's kind of ironic to me that I always purchase higher-end topps stuff i.e. Tribute, Five Star, etc. and am always disappointed. Panini National Treasures are generally beautiful cards for Basketball and Football. Now, due to all the licensing crap we are going to see a less than stellar NT product while the higher end market for baseball continues to suffer from Topps ineptitude. In my humble opinion.

Come on now...you're not a fan of "Philadelphia Baseball Club"? Whoever thought it was a good idea to add those last two words should be fired.

I actually kind of like the blue tint. Something different and gives the cards a more classic/retro feel. Same for the names given for the teams. I mean would be better with logos and team names but I think it's a pretty good alternative. To me it's really going to come down to price and checklist.

I just don't know where the huge demand, and huge $$ come from for a non licensed HIGH END Product. I don't think it is there and this will be a monster bust. Will there be some awesome cards? Sure, and they will be bought on the secondary market. And the sealed wax will plummet worse than Five Star.

The generic silhouette covers up too much of the colorful patches. Some of the patches are really nice, but they're obscured and it looks bad.

I get your point...a lot of times at businesses have legal names that are different then their product name and so forth. Cards still look weak sans logos.

Not sure how I feel about this product. At the price point of football and basketball I don't think I'm a fan. If they can come in lower due to no MLB licensing fees......I might be interested.
