So theres the proof.
Like I said , they are stolen so anyone buying them will have stolen property and only encouraging the scumbags to get more.

I guess if Topps REALLY was to go nuts with this, they could get all the ID's of buyers and cause trouble for them, although going after the sellers should be step number one.

Any idea when Topps filed the report on these to the police? Would love to see the details on how it went down.

Why be PO'd? Since they are not numbered, they don't affect the value of legit ones. These cards won't have much investment value.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Sure it's not good to have these out there, but they aren't numbered. The number of the legit ones out there hasn't increased at all.

I think it affects the percieved scarcity and as a result it can and probably will lower the sell value of the legit ones that do pop up. Not all collectors know that these are back-doored and think that they are getting a deal. And you know what happens when the "supply" outweighs the demand.

Since both of you do not seem to get it, I'll offer an easy to understand explaination.

Lets say for example there is a card numbered to /25. And a total of 100 buyers are actively looking to buy. 50 being knowledgable collectors and 50 being unknowledgable hobbiests. Now the market starts to see un-numbered 'back doored' cards exact to the original /25. A large portion of the un-knowledgable collectors are going to buy these, and some knowledgable collectors will as well.

What this does is add supply and water down demand. originally you had 100 buyers bidding on the "XX/25' cards. But now you will have far less than the original 100 collectors bidding because they got their fill on a much less expensive, and un-numbered card. And less bidders = less money for the seller. As well as what Rickzcards said above.

Understand?
