There hasn't been much progress on my Pirate auto collection, as I've been stalled in the mid 400's for a couple months now. Same goes for the Jack Wilson collection, with very few new cards being released, and those older cards I need either being low numbered or higher numbered parallels that never seem to get listed. Still, it has given me the opportunity to focus on my new Andrew McCutchen player collection, and adding Pirates base cards. I have added over 2000 new Pirates base cards to my collection thanks to great packages from pghbuccos and tramers, as well as a couple lots off ebay. And have nearly all of the Cutch base cards released this year, and am working my way through the parallels.
Still strange seeing Jack in a Mariners uni, but I can't complain too much, since this is the first time he has been included in the Heritage chrome/ref parallels. The Ticket to Stardom is a 1/1. I have the gold /50, but still need the blue /100 and perforated to complete the 'rainbow.'
I have to thank mchenrycards for the Pirates vintage and 90FTaway for a nice package of Pirate prospects, including the Bay and Farrell. Vintage and base cards from the past 3-4 years are two areas that my collection is sorely lacking in, so I owe a big thank you to both great members.
Finally, a few ebay additions. The signatures on the Haddix and Nelson cards look better in person, but I do hope to upgrade the Haddix at some point. Zisk is a notorious non-signer, so it's nice to add that one to the collection, even with the fingerprint in the middle of the auto. The Cutch Propaganda may not be the rarest card, but it's one of the cooler looking cards I have seen in recent years. Hopefully I'll be getting it signed later in the month, though I'm still not sure what color Sharpie would look best.
