The chances for a sweep over Lester, Beckett, and Buchholz are very, very slim.

Pena hits an absolute bomb to straight away center for a solo shot. 4-2 sox. What a great catch by Ellsbury

Even with the poor showing by Sonny, good defense and a better bullpen would have made this a winable game for the Rays.

Negative. Terrible managing by Francona is the only reason this game is even close.

Though I think the chances of a split are even less considering it's a 3 game series :P

Man thank god for Papelbon in the 8th...I was about to flip out. Actually surprised they left him in for the 9th, especially going up 4.....guess they didn't want to chance it.

He actually threw about his average number of pitches in one inning tonight, so it shouldnt really affect him the rest of this series.

I think if Ellsbury scored in the 9th, Saito would have come in.

But either way, big, BIG save for Paps. But Ellsbury's catch in the eighth was only his second best of the night!

A lost tonight would mean you would have to have a Mets like collapse the finally month with two teams: The Rangers and Red Sox. Also, the formula gain a game a week is longer going to work.

Still have the Braves and a Saban crush of the Hokies to look forward to this week.
