Am I misremembering, or is V-Mart better at throwing out runners than Vartiek? Because twice now, the YES combo of Kay/Singleton have commented on how Martinez isn't as good as Varitek.

A Jugs machine cranked all the way up couldn't throw out a runner with Penny pitching, and his 1.5 second delivery.

Yeah, Penny is slow, but the announcers keyed in on Martinez as a catcher, not so much the Penny/Martinez combo.
