Is it me or has the market for Rickey softened quite a bit? I haven't been buying in almost a year now, as I have refused to purchase anything 2006 and newer, so I've only tried to fill up the 2005 and down, but it seems like the auto market being flooded by new product has affected the older auto pricing as well... Plus having one of the super collectors bow out and selling off his stash little by little, that seems to have put the kabosh on the high prices...

That is a manufactured barrel , not a barrel from one of his bats.

I bought it blank on eBay years ago for $15. Seller had every team in just about every size. I finally sent out some jerseys to be lettered, this being one of them. I use the head seamstress for the Diamondbacks. I also have the hat. I'll get a shot of it tonight.

Not sure who got a Chong PSA 6 for $929...but great deal! My PSA 6 Chong sold for @ $1725 w/ juice at the Love of the Game Auction that ended on 1/30/16. $2,500 w/ an OBO is a reasonable starting place on eBay if the seller is willing to negotiate down to the $1,500 to $1,750 range. Perhaps it's the same card. For what it's worth, I also sold my SGC 86 Chong for $1,800 privately on 1/19/16. Remember, there are HOF rookie/pre-rookie card collectors competing for the same card and rookie material is going through the roof these days.

As a reminder, I still have lots of great Henderson stuff for sale...I haven't listed much on eBay because I'm buying a new house, but I have a big spreadsheet if you're interested in looking at what I have. I know I've transacted with at least two FCB members privately and am happy to discuss a deal with anyone else on this board.

In fact, looking at your want list, you may want to touch base with me...I have three cards on your current top 10 list

I only own 2 Rickey cards ('80 Topps PSA 9 and a '77 Chong PSA 7) but I always enjoy reading this thread. This morning I was late to worked because I watched an awesome story on FOX Sports 1 about Rickey: The School of Rickey. I'm sure all of you have seen it but it was the first time I had come across it. In my opinion it was exceptionally done and took me back 25-35 years when I was growing up.

I got this in today, just thought I would show it off to some people that would appreciate it:

I do not collect Henderson, just his stuff with the Red Sox. I have decided that this is likely a Red Sox card, due to the patch and the fact that the uniform appears to be a Red Sox away uniform. This is my first Henderson auto.
