On a more Rickey-related note, the A's have release a picture of the bobblead giveaway this year. I could do without the Kingsford Capital logo on the bottom, but overall it's not bad. Definitely could have been a lot worse!

I've thought about it, but I'm not sure. I was going to skip it entirely (waiting in line starting practically the night before is not much fun!), but now that Rickey's actually going to be there, I'm a bit more tempted.

I agree with you Larry, considering there's 15,000 of them being given away, they really should sell pretty cheaply, but I don't think that will be the case.

I recently traded one of my Henderson cards with someone in this thread for a 2005 Studio Portraits card, so I thought I'd try again for Henderson cards from this set,...

Does anyone have any spare 2005 Donruss Studio Portraits cards of Rickey #SP-82 to trade (or other players from this set)? I'd prefer to trade Henderson for Henderson, but will take offers for other players I need from this set? I only need 1 more Henderson variation to complete my 8-card type set (Blue-B&W). According to the initial checklist, he should have 3 cards in Series 1 (unless they decided to add him as an SP again):

The A's Franchise card #137 (and all of it's parallels) are not considered "Rickey cards" but I have added them to my list. Overall, there were 147 total Rickey cards produced in 2010, 40 of which were #1/1's.

Well, I finally got a dual card with Rickey and Jennings, but... it's the wrong Jennings.


Of course, a chubby starting pitcher from TX doesn't have much to in common with Rickey, but.... a man can hope! A Sabathia/Jennings would have been cool, but that boat has sailed. If it existed, it would have been in the 2002 Donruss Champions "Chubby Champion Duals" insert set.

Those new jerseys and bats sure aren't rare are they? I was amazed at the amount that got listed last night. It's almost like a base card! Or maybe there are more and more people who just sit down the first night, rip 20 cases and list as they go... :?:

Just wanted to share a few new oddball additions to the collection:

This is a cut-out from a 1991 Tuff Stuff Jr. magazine. It's on paper stock, but was actually meant to be cut out, as it has a back to it as well.

My first "guest appearance" jersey card. Just behind Olerud you can see Rickey celebrating. It's actually a pretty nicely designed card as well!
