Is there something special being "xmas" that is different from the regular HTA card from 2001?

No, they were just issued around Christmas time as "gifts" and some dealers don't list them as HTA but rather as the Xmas edition, but they are the same thing as far as I know.

I just got my 2010 eTopps T206 (FINALLY) in the mail. I like the serial numbering and the card does look much better than the picture they posted. However, mine is noticeably off-center. Were I someone who actually cared about that kind of thing, I'd be a little peeved. But I know Topps is a bunch of jagoffs, and complaining is futile. Anyone else get theirs and is it off-center? (mine is probably 65/35 left to right)

mine is pretty centered, a little off but you have to really look at it to tell.......they really need to take more care with these things especially if they are going to take the time to pack them up individually and ship them off. They should be able to see what they are shipping.

I used to message sellers and tell them Rickey was 24, Dave was 42. Or if I see a Mitchell & Ness Rickey jersey, I inform them that it is a fake as Rickey does not have a contract with them and they were never made by Mitchell & Ness. Only one was the 83 Batting Practice jersey they released about 8 years ago.

Just wanted you guys know...first time member here and a big rickey henderson fan since my childhood days.

I recently purchased this card and realized it was a fake after posting it up on collector's universe forum (PSA boards)
I did manage to get my money back.

Sorry to hear the Rickey RC auto was a fake. I had a feeling it was not real... not that I had the money to go for it if I thought it was real or anything like that. :lol: If you're patient though, you should be able to snag a nice PSA slabbed Rickey RC for less than $380. They don't pop up too often though...

Thanks! Yeah, after hearing that the autos in the 2004 Topps Originals Sig weren't signed w/such a thick sharpie and not to mention that his card wasn't in the checklist...my heart just sank and had to fetch for my refund. Lesson learned...gotta do research.

Welcome. Is this jersey made by Ebbet's? I think it is, but not 100% sure. If they did make it, they can and will make more as it's not a Major League jersey and doens't have his name on it.

So I got my Gypsey Queen (white) jersey card in the mail today. I opened it and was amazed that the card was not creased! Card was in a bubble mailer and had a slab of bubblewrap wround it. That was it, no snaptite or top loader. Nothing!

Nice pick ups for y'all, and nice to see some people outside of the usual crowd! To'C, is that card for trade? Is that what you were getting at? Or just showing it off? Not that I'm after it (unless it's #035/300 or better yet #024/300) but just in case somebody else wants it....



So I was checking out the preview for an upcoming game, the Red Sox vs. Yankees on the 9th, Sabathia vs Beckett. I was just checking out CC's numbers vs Boston's lineup, and was amazed! I can't find it on the real computer, only my phone, so it doesn't show hits or too much, just avg, AB, HR & RBI. CC has kicked ass! The whole team (well, it lists 12 players) has 167 AB, 2 HR & 10 RBI (over the last 5 years). Then if you look at Beckett... against Cano: 56 AB, 3 HR & 12 RBI. Arod is remarkably amazingly similar: 56 AB, 3 HR & 11 RBI.

Isn't that crazy? I know that because Rickey was a Yankee, that you guys love the Yankees, and because CC is a Yankee.... you know. :lol:

Let me break that down so it's easier to read. For my viewing pleasure.

167 AB, 2 HR & 10 RBI - Red Sox vs CC
56 AB, 3 HR & 12 RBI - Cano vs Beckett
56 AB, 3 HR & 11 RBI - Arod vs Beckett

I'm a little disappointed in what Topps is pushing out as far as Henderson cards recently. Looking at the crapload of Topps Series II cards they all have the same pictures again. They must have plenty of other pictures in their archives they can pick (unless they sold them from the vault). I guess when you are the only licensed seller of cards they think they can get away with this.

I agree. I hate seeing the same pictures on different cards all the time. Donruss did it a few years ago and Topps is using the same photos for stuff now too. The Man played 25 years, there are tons of photos available for use.
