OK, some 2002 questions for you guys....

Beckett shows this:
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems J.Damon 35
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Gold J.Damon 35
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Materials Damon Bat/Bat 35
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Materials Gold Damon Bat/Bat/50 35

2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Spectrum J.Damon 35

I have the first four, but does anyone know what the "Spectrum" looks like and is it different than the normal red version? Is it serial numbered?
************************************************************************
Also, Beckett shows this:
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade 2
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade Gold 2
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade Materials Jsy/300 2

Is the "Gold" version serial numbered? In looking at Rickeypedia, I see two different TOTT versions, but the Gold version doesn't look serial numbered (which would make it difficult to notice which one I had if not looking at them side-by-side). Any thoughts?
************************************************************************
Also, Beckett has these:
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Game-Used Bonus Mets 24 23
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Game-Used Bonus Mets Logo 24
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Game-Used Bonus Padres Logo 25
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Game-Used Bonus Padres Patch 26
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Game-Used Bonus Padres 24 27

Anyone know what they are or have any pics? These aren't on Rickeypedia either.
************************************************************************
And finally, Beckett has these:
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed 1982/6 42
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed 1984/10 43
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed 1986/10 44
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed 1988/10 45
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed Notation 1982 AS 31
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed Notation 1984 AS 32
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed Notation 1986 AS 33
2002 Donruss Originals Embossed Notation 1988 AS 34

Anyone know what they are embossed with? And how they are different?

Does anyone have a side be side of the Donruss retail and factory versions? Were there any other variations?

David Eich's Rickeypedia page shows these variations (probably always the first place to check):
1987 Donruss...the variation is on the back - the orientation of the back is 180 degrees different...the only way to tell is to compare the backs side by side
1988 Donruss...the variation can be seen on the front....the non-blue colors (black, red, etc) in the upper right corner is the rarer of the variations
1989 Donruss didn't have any easy to find variations, but Dave's sites shows some (these seem like printing errors to me rather than explicit variations)
1990 Donruss...also seen on the front and it is very difficult to spot...in the normal version, there are three black spots on the left that are higher than his elbow and there is a bigger black splotch on the right near his foot that looks a little like New Jersey; on the factory variation the ones on the left are about even with his elblow and there is no big splotch near his foot
1991 Donruss...different stripe combinations on the borders. NOTE: These are NOT shown on Dave Eich's site, but I'll try to describe (I have pics but too lazy to upload right now):
#53 - the factory variation has three yellow lines in the border
#387 - has blue lines on the right border
#648 - has one yellow line on the top right
#761 - has yellow lines on the left side
1992 Donruss....no variations, just printing flaws with "Donruss Inc" and "Donruss Inc."

none before or after this span that I am aware of

That's where I saw the cards, but it's hard to tell the difference when you have to click on each photo to enlarge it and can't see them side by side.

I have an 82 & 86 Originals Embossed. The cards have the word Originals embossed on them, like Topps Vintage.

I have the 86 as well. Have only seen 1 and I grabbed it. /10 is the lowest I have. I'd like to get them all, but doubt it will ever happen.

I have 2, but most likely the 2 you have. Jersey and jersey bat.

That would be correct!

My buddy hit the 03 Absolute Placque auto patch 6/10.

I can't get him to part with it.

Wish I had a picture.

Are you sure it is numbered to 10? I am pretty sure there are only 3 Henderson plaques. I thought the auto one was numbered to 15.

There are 4, jersey (200), bat/jersey (100) , auto (15?), auto/jersey (10?)

So I don't have a lot of doubles, but some. I was going thru looking for something and did come across a 91 Charter Memner with ** on the back. I remember seeing something noted on the checklist Brad sent me. So I look thru my binder to check the one I have in a page. Sure enough it has *! Sweet, one more card I have that I didn't know about! Now to see if I have any other 91 Stadium Club doubles. BTW all the other Charter/Member's Only cards I have from 91 have **. Which is more rare * or **?

Got my O'Connell & Son in the mail yesterday. It has a finish like 96 and 97 Fleer....the rough unfinished type. Little off center. Pic tomorrow.

There was a recent thread about the 1984 Nappco Pencils. I was moving some stuff around and came across the Series 1 version, so I snapped some close-ups of where its is numbered. Its not easy getting a good pic, but the first one shows where its "Series 1", the next two show where its "14 out of 36". The Series 2 version is similar (in fact its the only visual difference between that and the Series 1 pencil). Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Baby furniture being delivered today!

Have fun with the baby furniture! Hopefully you don't have to put it all together :). I'm currently having my own furniture dilemna. Last weekend I purchased an old library card catalog to hold all of my Rickey cards (pictures coming whenever we figure out where to put it). It fits great in our TV niche, but that obviously displaces the TV, lol! I'll get it all figured out eventually.
