That is utterly amazing. I don't even know where to begin describing my fascination. Kudos to the artist! BTW, what is that BEHIND the awesome leather piece? Is that some sort of uncut sheet?

It's this book. That price shown is ridiculous. You can probably find one for under $100. i think they retailed from Topps for around $85 in 1985. that was the best birthday gift I ever received when my mom bought me that in 1985!

Have any of you hard core collectors met him in person before? I wonder how he would be outside of a paid signing.

He left a bitter taste in my mouth when as a kid, I asked him for an autograph during batting practice in Seattle when the A's were in town. It was probably in the 1982-84 time frame is my best guess. He was talking to someone at the time and we were near home base, said he was busy, but that he would sign later. When he was done and "free", I called out to him again but he just ignored me. I was maybe a teenager by then and it was disappointing, since to me I believed he said he would sign. It was probably a brush off move he used often.

I do have a Dodger card signed by him that was /5 if I recall. Had to have it for the HOF/Dodgers autograph collection.

Yep, I have a few times! Amazing experiences both times including some amazing convos with my son. Only elevated my fandom after each encounter. The other was after a game in 2003 outside of Wrigley…

That is a custom I had made to incorporate the look and feel of his lime green Mizuno batting gloves for the border! Very well executed. Here are more photos:

If you look closely it says “Kent Corser Collection” under the running man, love the details!

This is a unique and fun one! 2012 National Treasures Baseball “HOF Membership” auto #’d out /10…….but it’s missing the auto and the serial #.

Anybody have a “completed” version?

That is unique. There are several times where card manufacturers keep a few cards in spare (called Inventory Replacements). Leaf/Panini seems to do this more often (Pacific used to do it too back in the day, and you can see Sportkings did it as you can see in their 2015 release of "Sportkings Vault" which were nothing more than holdbacks from their 2012 release). The idea was if a customer ever complained that they got a high-value card from a pack that happened to already be damaged, that they could use these inventory replacements to provide a new one. It wasn't always guaranteed from a customer perspective, and it probably didn't occur that often. But it probably wasn't a big deal for the card company to keep some in reserve. But, it is a good find as these didn't always make their way into the card collecting market, so it is a cool one indeed!

Now this is extra special! Some of the most iconic early 90’s Rickey Henderson cards were these from Score ‘91 and ‘92 and I own the only “proof” Polaroid shot taken from the photoshoot that day in New York in 1990. The photo shoot was actually put together by Franco Harris believe it or not. Such a unique, fun and rare item that went on to produce some of my favorite Henderson cards growing up! ️#rickeyhenderson #thehobby

Both custom cards - top is from France actually from Zetaw Sports Cards and is #1 of only 2 printed! It shines for days. The bottom one is a 1/1 from artist Loyal Luke mimicking the 1968 Playball cards!
