BA BA BA BA BOOYA RICKY WILLIAMS. Got me 34 points in a PPR league.

He's a beast, always has and always will be. People usually forget he won the rushing title 3 years in a row. He had some mental problems and dabbled in the hippie lettuce but it appears he back.

I'm starting to see a trend...

Michael Phelps - caught on camera smoking pot, yet is better than a merman in water
Tim Lincecum - caught with pot, yet is a top pitcher in the MLB
Santonio Holmes - caught with pot, and wins Super Bowl MVP that year

...and now Ricky Williams exploding at a time in his career when most backs are an afterthought. I'm sure it helps that he had some time off that his body didn't get banged up, but maybe it's the pot.

Is marijuana a performance enhancing drug? Yes.

(and because I know there will be "that guy", I want to point out that I'm joking about pot being a PED)

I am VERY happy Ricky came out & showed he can be a true workhorse once again (even though he's in his 30's & most people thought he was all but washed up & could only be used as a situational back). Sure, since coming back, he's shown what a superb athlete he is by performing well in the instances that he was used; but now people have seen that he can carry the load on his shoulders & be successful when doing so! Hell, Ricky could even end up being an upgrade over Ronnie Brown given that Ricky seems more efficient catching the ball than Ronnie (which gives the young Henne more options when Ricky's coming out of the backfield)!?!? :D

Anyhow, I'm just loving this opportunity for Ricky & am very happy that he seized his moment lastnight & made the most of it (silencing what critic's that he had & giving the Dolphins fan's something to cheer about after they & the Dolphins team itself sufferred a horrible blow to thier offense when they lost R.Brown to a season-ending injury)...While also has taking his second chance (in general, the chance he was given by the Dolphins taking him back after his "breakdown/hiatus") & literally: "Running With It"! ;) :D

I'll be posting some of my Ricky Williams Rookie PC here shortly! ;)

If the Dolphins make a wild card push and Ricky keeps do well, I should sell the 3 SPx RC's I have of him and buy them back down the road, correct?

This may be one of the last windows before his cards go looking for their price floor...

You also have to remember that he has stated that this is his last year...as he was going to retire and persue other options..yes he has been good this year ( 9rd steal in my drafts) but don't see much movement in his cards at all...if you can sell then sell because after this year good luck with that...and if anyone wants to buy all of my rookies of Ricky please let me know

This isn't his last year, he signed a contract for 4.35 mil to play "through" the 2010 season. So he did a little "wishy-washy dance" like Brett Favre once he realized his time might be up & he was still performing at a high level & enjoying what he was doing (so if he continues through this route, he very well could sign a big money contract after 2010.."if" he continues down this path). Remember, R.Williams was bankrupt & may be thinking towards his retirement & while the 6 mil or so that he now has from playing the past couple of year's sounds like alot to us, it is jack-squat to those guy's (especially the lavish lifestyle's that these guy's get caught up in)...

With all of the above I'm basically trying to say, Ricky Williams is not retired until he's retired (& that ain't gonna be "at least" until after the 2010 season)!

In term's of selling his stuff, if it goes up (which it really has not as of yet) then pick a price-point you're comfortable with & "let er rip"!
Pretty much ANY card is replaceable (barring those ultra-low serial #d one's) & this is not the case of a baseball prospect who may turn into Cinderella (aka-Pujols) & bring in the never ending green! :D

You don't see too many backs of his age performing as well as he is right now. He had a few heavy carry years in Miami but the few years off has kept many off his legs. He's always been a talented player, he just had difficulty with his head.
