Virtually all of the sketch cards listed on eBay of OV have sold, and it's getting hilarious. What's an unsellable sketch look like? I challenge all of you aspiring artists to find out! Who knows, maybe you or your kids make a couple bucks. If you accept the challenge, PLEASE post your work and the results.

Those of you who doubt your artistic skills may be encouraged by the auctions below...

I collect all things Blue jays, that first card is definitely inspirational. How an athlete could play again after his hands were mangled in a freak ice machine accident. A full face transplant too. Amazing.

What is ACEO?
These are everywhere apparently and never heard of them..

An offshoot of artist trading cards are Art Cards, Editions and Originals (ACEOs), which originated when Lisa Luree began an eBay community group in 2004 to create cards with the intent to sell, in addition to trading among themselves. Many ACEOs are sold oninternet auction sites, such as eBay. As the term suggests, ACEOs may be small original works of art, or editions of small prints.

Suckers are born every minute, but then again if the buyer has the money to burn, more power to them. I was dabbling in Garvey customs/ACEO originally, but when it was apparent that the good ones were selling for more than legit manufactured cards at times, the junk started flowing. It only took 1-2 rivals to quickly open my eyes to the fact that these are not worth much to me. Still, I was a potential buyer for any of them. However, pretty soon it opens a flood gate and you quickly learn to prioritize. Then the sellers started to get greedy. instead of starting them out at a buck or so, I saw some listed for $49 and $75 and they weren't THAT good. t was passing on cards #'d to 3 for less than $5 (Millhouse Tobacco though, which is the same pictures used with slightly different borders). I was done when I offered to buy ANY different Garvey cards they had, but it had to be slightly cheaper than their current asking price of about $4.50 per card. No reply. Fine…No money from me.

If you build it, they will come works nicely here. if you draw it, they will pay!!

Thank you so much for this thread. Now my unemployed son-in-law can finally have a high-paying career. He's not Bulgarian, I hope that won't disqualify him...
