Buster Olney reported last night that Rios was put on waivers, and either the Mets or Giants picked him up. Who do you think it was??

There's like a five page thread about this already. It's also being reported that it's neither of them, and almost definitely the White Sox.

+1, there is not a chance in hell that it's the Mets; he's more likely to go to the Royals than the Mets

I love how everyone says he is overpaid. He signed a 7 year 70 million dollar contract which averages out to be 10 mill per season. He is there right with everyone else who plays OF. abreu is older and get 16 mill per I defi9antly thing he should be hitting better but I dont think he really is that overpaid

I did not say he was over paid, I said the Sox can't afford him. Because he has 60 left owed to him. The only way the
Whitesox Take him is if the Mets part with say 15 million of that, and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Replacement for Guerrero?

Why no solid mention of the Angels? They have the money, they have prospects, they have a need.

Um, Abreu is under a 1 year, $5M contract, not sure where you got that number from.

He is now but just last season he was making big cheddar. But bobby has put up some good numbers, and is having a good season. I can see him around for 3 more only though.

Im not saying othat you said he was over paid etc but in generally people keep saying he is. As far as Abreu in order to resign with the Yankees he wouldve gotten 16 mill

Yeah but he didn't resign with the Yankees because they realized that is a ridiculously high number and they didn't feel like over paying.
