I just saw on the MLB site that Jerry Coleman passed away at 89. Ball player, announcer and war hero.

Long time Padres announcer, one time Padres manager, Yankees 2b,W.S. MVP, and war veteran Jerry Coleman passed away at 89. He was 89 and will be missed.

Have a bunch of cards although I still need the 1949 Bowman.

Very sad news. I will miss the "Jerryisms". Thank you Jerry, may you rest in peace.

I used to live in southern Cali, listened to a few Padres games. One of his favorite calls was "Ohhhh, Doctor" or something like that.

That's one. The other is "you can hang a star on that one!"
