For all the vintage collectors and auto collectors out there, the REA spring auction is now live. Every year, I window shop this thing and there are always drool worthy items.

I have been getting the catalog now for 4 years, and it is worth getting. Several hundred pages of item, on this glossy paper all with large full color pics of every item. I got mine in the mail yesterday, and spent 2 hours going through it (and only made it about halfway).

The catalog is free. For anyone with deep pockets, there are some incredible finds.

Catalog can be requested here. You can search the auction online as well.

I have been getting the catalog for 3 years now even though I don't collect vintage. I love to look through it and dream that some day I will have the money to buy some of the cards and memorabilia.

I guess this card will prove where a card sells more for; eBay or a real auction:

It's my belief that big ticket items almost always sell for more in these high profile auctions...not eBay.

For the most, yes. Really depends though if the ebay seller is a highly respected/well known member of the vintage community or not. REA is obviously gonna have big spenders trust, with their money and the item, a lot more over some random ebay seller.

I wish I had a disposable income because I would buy sooo much stuff from REA.

Catalogs are free, correct?

Got mine today.
I have been looking at the REA site for the last week, amazing stuff once again.
REA is where I got my 190 auto Musial lot last year.

Look at those HOF autos!!!

Henry Chadwick? Wilbert Robinson? Joe Kelley? Ed Delahanty? Christy Mathewson? Effa Manley? Mordecai Brown?

Not to mention there are like 25 Ruth autos...

I'm always curious to see any Mathewson cuts and didn't remember seeing him in this auction.

After flipping through, tt's Christy Mathewson Jr...not his Hall of Fame member father. Still a rare autograph...but not nearly as collectible.
