Loved him in NY. He's got a lot of personality and is really sarcastic, will definitely be a "player's coach".

I just remember Ventura as a "hot rookie" when I started collecting around 1990. Now's retired and about to start managing. They grow up so fast...

Current MLB managerial/coaching staffs are packed with guys who were active or just starting out in 1990. Kind of makes me wish MLB sets still featured coaches.

i'm already looking forward to next year as I'd like to see if just being a fan-favorite with baseball knowledge is good enough to be a successful manager of if skills such as leadership, how to get people motivated and other types of interacting with people are more of the manager's job than just knowing strategy skills and fundamentals of the game.
