Great win for C's as they beat Miami at home in 2OT.

But Rondo's hurt knee from the Hawks game is actually a torn ACL and is not expected back this year.

They're probably still a Playoff team, and I've always been a big Barbosa fan, but a Series win seems Unlikely...

Hate to see this, Rondo is my favorite player. Will be interesting to see what happens this offseason. Garnett an Pierce another year older etc. should be interesting.

Considering they almost tore up the team in the off-season, and depending on their Status at the deadline, I can see them moving some players.

Other than PP, I can see teams making offers and DA would have to think about it. Plus, you can't definitely count on a Rondo return in '13-14 either...

I hate to hear about great players getting injured, but I am extremely excited to see what Avery Bradley an do as the starter over an extensive time frame.

I'm as sad as any Celtics fan to see the end of an era, but now is the time to blow the team up. They were a fringe playoff team even with Rondo which in the NBA equates to purgatory. They're only 8 games out of the worst record and if Ainge does decide to blow the team up they should be able to tank hard enough for a high lottery pick. Can you imagine a backcourt with Rondo and Shabazz?

To me, the only safe players are Sullinger and Rondo, with Bradley being part of the group if he isn't moved in a larger deal.

I wish people could separate their dislike of a player or team with the concept of wishing major injury or pain on another human being.

You yeah and like him falling on a sharp pointy pencil is really coming to cause a major injury. ::facepalm::

So you it's ok to wish less pain upon someone because they play for a city you don't like or plays a game in a way you don't like?

OK, I overreacted. So what is your point (haha, get it. like pencils have points... thank you thank you, I'll be here all week). The only point I see is a young athlete had a major injury and you felt the need to post that you wish he had some minor pain before a potential career altering injury.

I don't feel sorry for the Celtics in the least. What a collection of punk a$$ personalities. I can't wait for Pierce and Garnett to go way, and stay gone. I also can't wait for Garnett to get the $hit kicked out of him for mouthing off so much.

Garnett is definitely the type where you love him if he's on your team, but hate him if he's not. Pierce to a lesser degree since he changed his game and work ethic in the mid 2000's, but I still see where you're coming from. Either way, they are two all time greats that will have their numbers retired and end up in Springfield.

I don't think anyone feels bad for the Celtics. I'm a Celtics fan and I don't feel bad for them. Injuries happen, and with this team it was expected but not with Rondo. I don't think makes them any better or worse during the season, but takes away their chance of a deep playoff run. What I do feel bad for is a young player who has to sit out at least the rest of this season. I don't particularly like Derek Rose, but I felt bad for him as a player when he went down. It sucks to be an ultra competitive personality and have to watch from the sidelines.
