Though it's not a RC, I wish I still had this!

Absolutely Demarius Thomas. Did Hakeem Nicks' stuff jump after his nice game yesterday?

Not really - [phil:2buiic5n]190605301768[/phil:2buiic5n] - they were just a few bucks cheaper prior to this.

I'm somewhat surprised at the spikes in WRs. Historically its been crazy hard to get any movement no matter how awesome they are. I had a suspicion that the NFL moving to more of a passing game might change things, but up until this season it wasn't showing up in WRs prices. Too bad I didn't trust my gut more. :|

Literally only QBs and RBs were highly collectible until this season. Nice to see them get some hobby recognition.

I completely agree. I tried to do a bit of prospecting with Wide Receivers around the 2006/2007 timeframe. I bought Exquisites of both Brandon Marshall and Vincent Jackson - both of whom had very very hot spells and at the end of the day I pretty much broke even. Guys like Calvin help shed more light on WRs though I think.

If only I would have went all in on Victor Cruz Contenders when they were $5 each...

Arian Foster had a nice jump after last week. He only has one RC auto in an NFL uni (Bowman Sterling). Also, Eli Manning is starting to get a little more hobby appreciation.

The hobby really is weird sometimes. You'd think Jerry Rice would have had a huge effect like Calvin Johnson. Nope. Nothing. At least not to the level he should have been. Like you mentioned, year after year of good receivers getting little to no love makes you leery of putting any more into them.

My gut told me things might change, but too many years of nothing changing overruled.

I wonder if some of it has to do with the lack of RB depth in the league at the moment. At least star quality depth. If you are fan of the Lions there isn't really much to be excited about from a RB perspective at the moment. So your money goes to Calvin Johnson instead. Same goes for NYG, GB, and many other teams.
