I have 3 picks in a dynasty keeper league. I won super bowls in 2008-2009 and am now in rebuilding mode. Traded LT and Tony Gonzo for the #5, 6 and 14th picks in this draft. You have to know when to cut bait and rebuild.

My team is as follows:

QB: Palmer, Leinart
RB: McFadden, M Bush, J Harrison, Steve Slaton, Danny Ware
WR: Colston, Braylon Edwards, James Jones, Brandon Gibson, Nate Burelson, Devin Thomas
TE: Shiancoe
K: Kaeding
DT: Eagles

The top 4 picks will be:
1) Matthews
2) Spiller
3) Bryant
4) J Best

That leaves me with Ben Tate, I am guessing this is a no brainer since I own Slaton, and M Hardesty. I am not really a fan of both, should I consider taking D Thomas (DEN) and the Cinny TE?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Don't take Tate....he'd be successful if he landed anywhere with an OK QB....too bad he landed in Seattle...if Whitehurst gets to start he might have a chance....Seattle needs to pull the plug on Hasselcrap already.

I was talking about Ben Tate not Golden.

This is just me, but If I had your team and was drafting I'd go with

Ben Tate and Aurelious Benn (assuming the 4 you say will be gone).

Here's why.

Ben Tate is going to get goal line carries and may become the starter. Kubiak does not have a long leash on slaton (if he comes back and starts) due to him dropping the ball so many times before he got hurt.

Aurelious Benn? What? Yep. Look at the other WRs on the roster for the buccs. Michael Clayton, Reggie Brown, Maurice Stovall, and some other retards. He has the talent to be the #WR1 EASILY, but it may not matter if Josh Freeman hasn't learned how to throw a pass.

Others you may wanna consider is Demaryius Thomas from denver and Gronkowski of the patriots.

I was leaning towards Ben Tate and Benn. I like Benn A LOT but, hate that he ended up in TB. Demaryius Thomas could be another brandon marshall and I think their offense will be run much better than TB.

What about Hardesty? Not really a fan of his, but we went to Clev and I have Jerome Harrison. I see a lot of differing reports on him, some love him some hate him due to injuries. What are your thoughts?

Don't know what kind of guys will be left at #14.....may be some good TE options, but I figured I'd throw this out there.....Hate to say this, because it's NE - but Taylor Price could be a great sleeper WR pick.

Just looking at the numbers Edellman (or whatever his name is lol) put up last year, if Price works himself into the rotation, he should be able to put up some decent numbers.

Hardesty has a lot of upside. Jerome Harrison could lose out too him and its very possible, but I think as a whole Harrison may end up winning that battle. I think Tate gets more of a role in the Texans offense than Hardesty due to slaton's short leash and their platoon of has been rbs.

I am trying to trade the 6th pick and Jerome Harrison for the #3 pick...smart deal?

Or should I deal Slaton and the 6th for the 3rd? I would give up Tate if I made this deal.

With the 3rd I would take Spiller (if there) or Bryant.

I think if you can get rid of slaton that would be an excellent deal. If you can get spiller or bryant i'd go that route. However I think Tate may be a better option than Jahvid Best. Best is still 2nd and detroit still doesn't have a line.

Stovall is the shizzle. Hate your face. Crabtree eats poop.

I just want to go on record and say Benn is over-hyped. If Vegas would allow me to put money down on him catching under 30 passes, I would bet whatever money I possibly can. That is all. :P

I think he's over-hyped in the short-term. Has some stuff to fix mechanically as a WR, and won't be able to do it all physically like he did at Illinois. Year 2 and 3 should be good years for him, IMO.
