I was wondering why (the name "exquisite" helps I know) the Exquisite version of the Ricky Rubio AUTO RC was selling for $450-$500 when there are 450 total made of them (225 b/w, 225 color) and the National Treasures, which there's only 99 of is selling for only $290-$320..

During the summer the NT version was selling for around $100 and the Exquisite $125-$150...the Exquisite shot up 4 x the value in recent weeks, but the NT only 2.8-3x the value...

Shouldn't the NT be at least $400-$500 as well?

All it would take would be for someone to buy up as many NT versions as they can and the entire market would dry up...I doubt all 99 of them have been pulled (probably 40-ish)..it would take a LOT more effort to buy all 450 version (plus the 18 gold versions) of the Exquisite..

The Blake Griffin RC to get is the National Treasures, so maybe the NT version for Rubio would be the one to get as well..

I think the NT version could explode if someone decides to corner the market..which would take a mere $12,000-$14,000 to do..

One big thing is that there's one group of guys (the attyball dudes if you know who I'm talking about) who literally bought up a huge majority of the 09/10 Exquisite product and flooded the market with Exquisites, so there's a good chance that maybe 70% of the Rubios are out there..

In my opinion, the main reason is because Exquisite is an on card autograph and the National Treasures is on a sticker.

The Rubio NT doesn't have the jumbo patch or on card auto like the big NT's like Griffin, Evans and Curry. It's also a picture of him in a suit vs a picture of him actually playing basketball. Those are three big factors.

Stick-er auto.

This difference is even more pronounced considering there are two versions of the exquisite.
