These guys are adding Matsui and Damon to the list.

There is a report from MLB.com up on the San Francisco Giants' website regarding the team's willingness to at least consider offers for 26-year-old starting pitcher Jonathan Sanchez.
Now that the team has locked up Randy Johnson for 2009, GM Brian Sabean said he would "have to be open-minded" when asked about the possibility of using Sanchez as trade bait in an attempt to improve his offense.
This could be significant to the Yankees because the Giants are one of the teams that is said to be interested in dealing for one of New York's corner outfielders - a group that includes Hideki Matsui, Johnny Damon, Xavier Nady and Nick Swisher.
Of that group, Damon and Nady would likely be non-factors as Sabean has said he would not deal for a player who would be a free agent after the 2009 season. Both Damon and Nady fall into that group.
However, Matsui is a name that was rumored to be of interest to the Giants prior to last season, and San Francisco was attempting to deal for Swisher before the Yankees acquired him this offseason.
Sanchez is intriguing, to say the least. The left-hander's initial numbers do not impress (9-12, 5.01 ERA).
However, a closer look shows promise. Sanchez allowed exactly a hit per inning in his young career (250/250) and has shown the ability to miss bats, striking out 252 in that same span. And did we mention he's a lefty?
