I have always wondered why there wasnt more hobby fan fare for eddie waitkus. Played for two well liked teams (phillies, cubs) and being part of the blend for the movie seem like a great recipe for cardboard success.

Crazy story. I knew The Natural was based on real events, had no clue the shooter was still alive all these years. Judging by her choice to live in obscurity and Waitkus' unwillingness to press charges, it seems she may have regretted doing what she did. I'll have to check out the biography on Eddie Waitkus.

Yeah its a pretty unique story. If you shoot me imma mess your day up with prison. It seems like he felt sorry for her.

I went looking for a waitkus auto a few years ago and picked up a legendary cuts /5 one of my favorite pieces. It's ugly as XXXX.. But it's a sweet crossover piece.
