Apples and oranges.
Braun is one of baseball's most famous players and is usually voted by fans to start the All-Star game.
Only diehard football fans know who Von Miller is.
Plus he's a linebacker, so many people aren't surprised when a giant muscular guy is accused of PEDs.
Kind of like when wrestlers use steroids. No one cares because they just assume they use them anyway.

Of course Braun is big news. He's famous and popular, and made bigger news when he beat the system last time.
One of baseball's biggest stars is suspended for 65 games and that's not supposed to overshadow Von Miller's suspension? (which by the way, has been on Sportscenter plenty of times.)

And you're saying the media doesn't report negative NFL news?
Ever hear of a little case happening now called the Aaron Hernandez murder investigation?

My comparison was steroid to steroid. The murder of course is going to be covered regardless of sport.

NFL can juice it up with a penalty system that fails by comparison to the MLB punishments. Yet pro bowlers can go virtually unscathed in the media for the same offense that their baseball brothers do.

Positional differences shouldn't matter since the media is out to keep the record books clean and make sure cheaters are called to the mat. Or that's what they keep telling us. The actions do not match..

Side question.. How do you think baseball feels with the media breaking their "private" news weeks prior to the league? That's got to be embarrassing. I literally hate Tj Quinn.

I get why some are calling him a lying scumbag, but what was he supposed to do?

Telling the truth is a great way to not being a lying scumbag.

Again, not trying to say what he did was right, but I just like to look in the mirror before I start calling someone a lying scumbag.

I just got done looking at my beautiful face in the mirror and here I am calling Ryan Braun a lying scumbag.

I'm not positive but I think Von Miller was suspended for actual drug violation not steroid or PED related drugs.

Braun is baseballs lance Armstrong. Except for dumping a girlfriend with cancer.. That hurts to type!!

My issue isn't the story but the treatment of the story! Did you know Von miller tested positive? That's 50% of the last 4 defensive rookies of the year who have dirty piss tests. Of course you didn't know because the media will hammer this negative down baseball fans throats and run positives about the nfl.

How rgiii is ok to practice and tony romo having a new role are ahead of the miller story on yahoo.. Super.. Yet there are 4 articles on Brauns suspension.

I don't think Von Miller suspension is PED or steroid related. Think it's failed drug test prob marijuana

I think the sample collector got fired last year right? I smell a nice easy lawsuit versus Braun from that guy
and it will include his job back and whole lot of cash.

You are correct, and that's why it's ridiculous to compare it to Braun's case.
The NFL players' union spokesperson says the suspension is not for PEDs, but for other drugs.
The Denver Post is saying marijuana.

You know, I'd act like what Braun did last year upset me or that I am happy he "got what he deserved" this year, maybe even keyboard warrior up and call him a lying scumbag/*********, but I realized something many years ago:

I don't give a damn what an athlete puts in his body. I watch sports to be entertained, sanctity be damned. Players nowadays may have better drugs and more sophisticated systems to beat drug tests, but that doesn't mean players haven't been trying to win their respective sports, however they can, since these games began.

Sharpened cleats, spit balls, greenies, steroids, PED's......something will ALWAYS be there for an athlete to attempt to be faster, stronger, better. They will ALWAYS find a way to cheat, to gain an advantage.

So let them use WHATEVER DRUG they want to improve their performance(that can be legally bought in the US), but if you choose to use a PED, you forego any and all benefits that your respective sport would provide you when you retire from the game. In baseball, this means if you played 10 years or more, no $100,000 annual pension (they receive this starting at the age of 62), no lifetime medical benefits.

If you do NOT use PED's, enjoy all the benefits of your retirement.

Why would there be a lawsuit? Was he fired because Braun's urine was in fact tainted by PED's or was he fired for mishandling the specimen?

I see him getting paid but I would not even entertain going back to a place that throw me away like a used condom.

I'm not comparing the case. But the media coverage of these cases in the MLB vs NFL. The Von miller was an example based on my local radio stations report.

How do his staunch supporters feel now?

I never bashed him, and won't now. I don't care.

I am just curious how the people who were adamant in his defense feel.
