Does anyone have more details than Becketts crypto-code for these? I'm assuming the "D" just means Donruss, but in the case of the 89 of Vizquel, it was Donruss "The Rookies." Would really like to know more specifics on the other 3. Thanks for any info you may have to share!

1989 "D"

1998 "PPS"

1999 "D"

2000 "D"

The 1999 D and 2000 D are possible the Retro sets from 2001 Donruss. 1998 PPS might be Donruss Preferred Preferred Seating.

Usually D was a Donruss base issue. I think the PPS is a 1998 Donruss Press Proof Silver, but I could be wrong. They did use Press Proof cards. I can't think of another 1998 Donruss product that would be PPS.

I figured "D" just meant the base set, but in the 89 example it was "The Rookies" for at least some Recollections.

Press Proofs Silver seems like a weird choice, doesn't it? But so does the Preferred Seating parallel.

What are the odds Beckett even knows what their abbreviations mean?
