I am starting a Chris Sabo collection and I am looking for the 2005 Topps All Time favorites auto and the 93 finest refractor. Anybody on the boards that would like to trade or sell these 2 cards? Just shoot me a PM :D :D

There are 2 on ebay one is listed by Burbank. So I will need to get a small loan to pay for the 93 refractor.

The one that isnt Burbanks is pretty good.

the '93 ref's are one of the greatest cards ever made!

im very very very tempted to buy the 93 finest box that ends tommorrow and break it on the box break board. I think it would be a fun break.

I was able to pick up the Eric Davis 93 Refractor for $12 dlvd last summer. That would be an awesome break.

93 finest refractors is an awesome set as said by TBP. Hopefully you can find them cheaper for your guy than the 60-80 I was shelling out for each Puckett. I'd imagine the prices are a little lower since the last one I bought about a year ago.

Hey are those the Atomic Refractor in that year??

As far as I know there are not any Atomic Refractors in 1993 but I could be wrong.

To the OP I found this on Beckett:

"Randomly inserted in packs at a rate of one in 18, these 199 standard-size cards are identical to the regular-issue 1993 Topps Finest except that their fronts have been laminated with a plastic diffraction grating that gives the card a colorful 3-D appearance. Because of the known production numbers, these cards are believed to have a print run of 241 of each card. It is believed that there might be short printed cards in this set. Topps, however, has never publicly released any verification of shortprinted singles, but some of the singles are accepted as being tough to find due to poor regional distribution and hoarding. Due to their high value, these cards are extremely condition sensitive, with much attention paid to centering and minor scratches on the card fronts."

Then if you look at the pricing list it says this: ASTERISK CARDS: PERCEIVED SCARCITY

And Sabo has an asterisk. So maybe his is a SP??

FYI if you care, book is $30 - $60.

Sabo was considered "scarce", and assumed SP, dont believe it. Pack/case placement yielded hoarding. Some collectors of these cards have 25-50% of the print run of certain players and people like me own 10+ sets (and maybe a hoarded players or two-ish).

I was going to say the exact same thing. Russ is a great guy, and any Sabo collector would do well to seek him out...
