You have got to be kidding me:

"Everything I achieved, I did it thanks to my perseverance, which is why I never had any long, difficult moments [as a baseball player]. If you have a bad day in baseball, and start thinking about it, you will have ten more," said Sosa. "I will calmly wait for my induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Don't I have the numbers to be inducted?," said Sosa, who presently serves the Dominican government as Special Ambassador For Investment Opportunities.

Talk about arrogant. McGwire and Palmeiro have the numbers for the Hall of Fame too. He can wait with them.

Don't I have the numbers to be inducted?," said Sosa, who presently serves the Dominican government as Special Ambassador For Investment Opportunities.

Fixed it

Wow, that statement changes my whole perspective of Sosa. Never knew he was such an arrogant *******.

I could share a few of the stories Mark Grace shared with me, just to remove any doubt that Sosa is anything but a self absorbed jerk. But is that quote right there sums it up pretty well.

Sosa. Goes to show you what some good juice can do for a player.

My thought?

Sosa gets in the HOF before McGwire, Palmeiro etc...but none of them get in until Bonds and probably Clemens get in first. In fact, if only Bonds and Clemens get in, I wouldn't be too shocked.

I think McGwire, Sosa, and Palmiero will be the sacrificees. Everyone else whois otherwise deserving from the steroid era will get in.

I don't think any of the known juicers will ever get in...i don't think the players will vote them in. I am sure all the current hof'ers do not want someone in that did it by steroids...I think alomar will get in before any juicers...jmo

But the writers do the main voting.

Here is a great article by a voting writer himself. The one point in his whole article that i agree with is that "A GREAT MAJORITY OF WRITERS WILL NOT VOTE IN ANY KNOWN JUICER". The fact that it takes an overwhelming percentage, leads me to the same belief...no known juicer gets voted in.

The only players I could see perhaps get in are players that are still playing today, and have many years to show how good they are clean (e.g. arod).

Good story
