His latest incident he is accused of hitting a woman with a glass in a club, although it appears that the charges might be dropped. He has also recently "tweeted" that he was going to wake n' bake, and also telling someone that he wishes they would kill themself.

Holmes was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on May 27, 2006 for disorderly conduct.[9] Charges were subsequently dropped after Holmes paid a fine. Holmes was arrested for a second time on June 18, 2006 for domestic violence and assault in Columbus, Ohio.[10]

On July 7, 2006, Holmes appeared in Franklin County Court in Columbus, Ohio for both a pre-trial regarding the domestic case and hearing regarding the traffic ticket. He plead no contest to the traffic ticket and agreed to pay a fine. While Lashae Boone, the mother of Holmes' daughter and the victim in the assault case, requested that the domestic violence and assault charges be dropped, the prosecutor refused. Boone and their daughter accompanied Holmes to court. The charges were later dropped.[11]

On October 23, 2008, Holmes was arrested in Pittsburgh and cited by officers for possession of marijuana.[12][13] He released an apology after missing a game, stating that he wished to "focus all of [his] efforts on helping our team win on the field and achieve its ultimate goal."[14]

I would take all those troubles over Bens perpetual sex offenders accusations. The latest in which a guy confessed on the Holmes glass incident resulted in less then a 1/4" abrasion(did not break skin). I implore you all to pull out a ruler and look at a 1/4" then figure less then that and something that did not break skin. My daughers get worse then then outside.

All charges have been dropped just Like Bens.

This was total cover as to why they keep a prossible violent offender on the team. The hardest to catch are the deviant and rich who know how to work the crime.

Someone mentioned that the announcement is pending Leon Washington signing his FA tender and being part of the deal as well. I have nothing to substantiate that other than a desire to find rationality in the whole deal.

While this is entirely speculative, I would have to think that on another team, these legal issues would not cause such a drastic reaction. I think the Rooneys are very concerned and conscious of their public image and reputation, and are willing to protect that at any expense to the on field product. Perhaps even moreso now that Dan Rooney is the ambassador to Ireland.

Keep in mind this isn't the first time that the Steelers have let a key player go over drug and image related issue. They cut Bam Morris coming off a Super Bowl appearance due to a drug possession conviction.
