This is a very intriguing match up. I can't decide who has the upper hand going into the fight.

Santos is going to smoke Nelson.

Haven't we been hearing this since TUF?
Nelson really hasn't faced the caliber of fighter that Santos is. Sorry.
Hope Roy is really training for this one.

Again. Haven't we heard this since TUF?
Ok, lets hear names??????

I'm not disagreeing that this is a very difficult fight for Nelson. I don't think he'll win personally but you have to admit every time he fights everyone expects him to loose. With the exception of Kimbo.

The same can be said about JDS.

Has HE ever faced the caliber of talent that Roy possesses??

Roy is a BEAST. People don't take him serious because of the way he looks. But he is probably more skilled than half the mixed martial artists on the entire planet. The guys is REALLY good.

And I can see him beating JDS.

I can see JDS beating him too though.

I will be very excited to see this.

Who doesn't like comparing records?!

JDS
Win Gabriel Gonzaga............Will be a gate keeper at best in his UFC career.
Win Gilbert Yvel............Not THE Gilbert Yvel. A shell of his former self.
Win Mirko Filipovi?............Poor Mirko. Washed up at this point.
Win Stefan Struve..............Won't even be a gate keeper.
Win Fabricio Werdum..................I actually had Werdum in this fight. And before that came out of my mouth, he was KO'd.
Win Geronimo dos Santos............Who?
Loss Joaquim Ferreira.....................Who?
Win Jair Goncalves.................Who?
Win Joaquim Ferreira.................Who?
Win Edson Paredão.................Who?
Win Eduardo Maiorino.................Who?
Win Jailson Silva Santos.................Who?

ROY
Win Stefan Struve...............Who? He owned him.
Win Brendan Schaub.............Was a good win over someone with a ton of potential.
Loss Jeff Monson....................THE SNOWMAN!
Loss Andrei Arlovski..............Former UFC Champion
Win Brad Imes.............Rashad nemesis!
Win Fabiano Scherner................HEY, someone else I've heard of!
Win Antoine Jaoude...............Who?
Win Bryan Vetell ...............Who?
Win Shane Ott ...............Who?
Loss Ben Rothwell...................Jesus has he lost to every big name he's fought?
Win Mario Rinaldi...............Who?
Win Vince Lucero...............Who?
Loss Josh Curran ...............Who?
Win Jerome Smith...............Who?
Win Jason Godsey...............Who?
Win Michael Buchkovich...............Who?
Win Ray Seraille...............Who?
Win Bo Cantrell ...............Who?
Win Jerry Vrbanovic ...............Who?

After looking at all that, I still think it's pretty even. JDS is very capable of beating Roy, but nobody better count Roy out. He doesn't deserve to be counted out of any fight he is in.

Nelson is WAY better fighter now then he was when he fought in the IFL...The loss to A.A. was crap,Nelson had top control and was striking A.A. and the ref made them standup,if they fought righnow,Nelson would smoke him!

Santos is a better striker then Nelson as far as overall standup, but i believe Nelson has a better chin.If its go to the ground,Santos could be in trouble.Santos quickness on his feet will give Nelson problems i believe.

I could see this fight going either way.Where does the winner go from here?I would think top 1-2 contender for the belt.

If Dos Santos wins I can see him being top 2 contender behind Cain. Nelson will probably need another fight after this to get up there. Being 3 in line for the belt means a title fight is a year away at the earliest. A lot can happen in a year.
