I was watching the item and almost bid on it just because of the price but I decided not to obviously. Been buying too much stuff lately. Need to concentrate on stuff I do not have and stop buying stuff that is just a good price lol. Very glad to see that you got it! I did pick up the three Dawson slides that went off directly before this item.

I have bought VERY little this year for financial reasons, but several items on my watchlist have gone on sale this week for prices I couldn't pass up, so I have several mail days forthcoming...

I've always passed on slides for whatever reason, although the HP g3110 scanner I have is designed to scan slides

Good news for everyone on the board, I plan on purchasing that scanner tomorrow if my Best Buy or Office Depot has it in stock. I had an awesome mail day yesterday thanks in to large part a fellow MT member, but have been busy at work the past two days with tax free days here. I will be posting lots of pics in the morning when I get up.

eBay has given a lot of access to cheaper prices. It gets tough to pass on things sometimes.

Hell, I just got in - today - a second 1/1 Ralph Kiner Recollection Auto on an 83 DK HoF Heroes card. Yeah - a SECOND 1/1. First was gold foil. This one was platinum.

I have found Ebay has some cheap listing and Ebay also has some listing that make me question if the poster knows anything about baseball cards at all. I am speaking only of Andre Dawson auctions that I look at. There is so much for me to catch up on that I have to got to start picking and choosing better. I know you like everything Dawson, but I cannot stand those ugly ass topps silver bandaid autographs.

The people listing Dawson stuff that I KNOW have no clue are the redonculously overpriced listings for autos and g/u that seem to pop up every day since his induction.

Tell me about it! I used to be able to buy Dawson lots pretty cheap, hence the reason I have over 100,000 Dawson cards. Now its extremely hard to find lots at prices that I am used to paying. I used to be able to buy unnumbered game used for $3 delivered and rookies at $5 delivered and unnumbered autos at $5 delivered. Now on the flip side some numbered stuff is way cheaper than prices I used to pay. I was buying the 2001 Upper Deck Legends Legendary Signatures Gold /50. It was Dawson's first numbered autograph. I have 16 of the 50 and I was doing good to be able to get one for $80 back then.

Another set that I have seen cheaper now is 2005 SP Legendary Cuts. Dawson is in the Classic Careers, Glory Days, and Legendary Lineage. Another collector and I were always bidding against each other an inflating these prices. I haven't added to my collection in this set yet since being back, but I have noticed cheaper prices on it.
