Good morning!

The girlfriend moved in last night.

Beginning of the school year is absolutely crazy and will be for the next few weeks.

Phew!

Thats great news Andrew. Usually when "coup" appears in your posts it implies a carnage of sorts.

Thanks, guys!

Dan, this should be a bloodless coup. The only thing hurt may be some inflated egos.

More to come in a few weeks....

Thats weird that you have more than one ego. I thought that I had it bad with 3 sides to my brain.

Good morning and good weekend fellas! Little overcast here in Dallas but I'm fine with a break from 100 degree weather. As most of you heard from me yesterday, got a $100 bill at work yesterday and then bought a scratch off after work and won $100 lol... Have to visit the LCS now bc things are going my way lol

Ideas on what to buy? Wish they had older wax but most is all 2011 and 2012...

Here's some info about the hockey camp today:

CALGARY — Apparently, you can take the broadcaster away from the Trojans, but you can’t take the Trojan out of the broadcaster.

Sixteen years after working as the manager and publicist for the SAIT Trojans men’s hockey team during the 1996-97 season, veteran broadcaster Rob Kerr — the television play-by-play voice of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames — has organized a charity hockey camp for underprivileged youth this weekend at SAIT Polytechnic.

With the help of numerous members of Calgary’s sports media, support from the Trojans men’s hockey program, and facilities offered by the SAIT Trojans athletics department, the CTRL-F (Calgary Teamwork-Respect-Leadership-Fun) Hockey Camp will set up shop at SAIT’s Campus Centre on Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26.

Kevin Bathurst of Hockey Canada will be the primary on-ice coach at the SAIT Arena, while Kerr — formerly the host of Flames radio broadcasts on Sportsnet Radio FAN 960 — has developed classroom sessions on teamwork, leadership, and respect.

The SAIT Trojans athletic department, through Babey, has offered SAIT Campus Centre facilities, including SAIT Arena ice rental, locker-rooms, classrooms, and use of the Campus Centre gym.

After on-ice, classroom, and gym sessions through the weekend, Sunday afternoon will feature the culmination of the two-day CTRL-F Hockey Camp — a “pro game” experience in the SAIT Arena at 1 p.m., complete with music, announcers, and a big-screen broadcast courtesy of Trojans Productions.

They forgot to thank the Zamboni drivers ;)
The production is pretty impressive. They use the jumbo screen in the arena. Yes, there is a jumbo screen in the arena.

So I have been officially put on the list for temporary lay-off. If it goes thru I will be off 4 weeks and then maybe even 6 weeks if I choose to. We have stuff in the contract that will help me while I'm off. So after crunching the numbers. I will have a 4-6 week vacation and it would almost be like me working and getting the same amount.

So I'm off to the Union Hall today for our annual picnic our 54th year. I can't wait for the next one to get here our 55th. That is going to be a great one for sure.

Peace out guys have a great day and stay cool if it is going to be hot where your are.

Good Morning men

So last night I went on a mission to find a photo of Canseco in every team uniform.. then resize and combine them into mini 3 piece photo's and upload to my otherwise plain looking homepage. get a chance check it out and let me know what you think. Nothing planned for today so far but I'm sure some cold Octoberfest's will be in the cards for tonight!!

Have a good day everyone!

4-6 weeks isn't all that bad! find a little side gig and you can rake in some extra loot Richard. My wife works at one of our Ball production plants and they announced a layoff for the same amount of time and then decided to make it until the end of the year. She was a bit worried because she is second lowest in her department. Fortunate for us they only took the lowest seniority person from her room for the layoff. Its normal for the company to offer layoffs this time of the year as production winds down and they begin to retool for new products. We have a quarterly meeting with upper management this coming week so I'm curious to hear if he will have any reasoning to the long extension of this layoff.
