Scanner help!

I have an HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One...and I can't get it to do anything.

The C7280 screen says, "Please insert a memory card."

When I try to use the HP Solution Center it said "Communication Error."

HP Product assistant popped up....

Has anyone encountered this or know what to do? I need to get some cards scanned in a bad way.

try paint- file-from scanner or camera.

Open paint, then go to file- and from there select from scanner or camera.
