I mentioned that he is and it is one of the reasons why I haven't already escalated the Paypal dispute to a claim and dropped a couple negatives on him. I would rather not do that to another board member.

I've dealt with him 3-4 times and been 100% satisfied with the transaction each time. He's a high volume seller, and I'm sure orders/emails may sometimes fall through the cracks.

So because he does high volumes and has mad you happy he gets excused from having to reply to messages and Paypal disputes?

I'm saying that he has a very good reputation for a reason. To say he "screwed" you seems irrational considering his reputation and my personal experiences. Things get lost in the mail, or emails go to spam filters. Yes, he should have responded to your emails but it could have gotten lost in spam or maybe he missed it as I'm sure he gets a ton of emails. He may have made a mistake, but I don't think he "screwed" you.

As someone said, try calling him. I'm sure make it up to you or refund your money if he can't.

I just have to say that I am thrilled that I have never had a deal with many of you at a time when something happened in my life. Without checking (for exact numbers) this is a guy with over 100,000 transactions, who always goes out of his way to be kind and courteous. I do not know what happened, but if a guy like him can't get the benefit of the doubt (on what is probably not an especially high priced item to boot) I know I'd never be good enough to get the benefit of the doubt. Again, I have no clue what it is that has kept him from contacting you, but there may be no one on eBay that has earned that.

Reading is fundamental. I said I felt screwed because these cards have now dried up and I can't find them. I did not say that Mem intentionally tried to screw me out of money. I'm screwed because he didn't respond to messages. Since the card has a limited print run and a low value they might not be listed for a while. Also, while waiting for a response to a message sent asking if they were ever shipped the only one that was listed closed.

If cards continue to be listed, positive feedback for items received, and STILL no contact then what is someone supposed to do? Assume something tragic has happened? Maybe Mem's volume is getting in the way and some people lose out.

But you chose to do it this way instead. Come man I think it is getting way out hand here
by saying you have been screwed by him, things happen, can't you give someone some time to make it right.

I could see if he responded that he as was not going to anything for you. The fact he has no responded to you
is a little off key, but coming on here and say you have been screwed is a little premature right now.

Sorry buy I know you wanted the cards but again things happen. MR. Mem is one of the good guys
not like some of the dirt bags I'm sure you have dealt with.

Patience my friend it will work it self out soon enough.

Chris, you gotta do what you gotta do.

im guessing you took the pic on the card?

Correct. This card is not for my personal collection, I need it for my portfolio. This thread was created because I was let down by the lack of communication from Mr. Mem. I expected more from someone who is so highly regarded by this board.

I understand cards get lost in the mail. I understand that people get busy and can't return messages. I just don't believe that my luck is so bad that both would have happened on this one transaction which is why I'm holding the seller accountable.

Writing is fundamental. Your topic says "Screwed by the "Beloved" Mr. Mem..."

My reading skills are fine. You are intentionally/unintentionally dragging a great seller's name through the mud by the title of this post.

Message boards are fun because everyone is quick to say "learn to read" when their point isn't gotten by readers, yet they never look back at themselves to see that maybe they did not communicate that point clearly.

Well said, as always. The OP needs to give him the benefit of the doubt. The guy gets hundreds of emails daily with some eBay transaction # or ebay-related subject and it is easy to see him overlooking real emails in the midst of the excessive eBay "your item sold" or "you have a question about this item" or "you won this item" garbage emails that he likely mass-deletes or filters.

I would chalk it up to being lost in the mail and get on with it. I am positive he will refund your money when you establish communication with him because he is one of, if not the, most professional sellers on ebay. I have had things lost in the mail before from ebay, and it sucks, but when a seller has a reputation that strong, and of that magnitude, they absolutely deserve the benefit of the doubt and not premature libel.

Scuba did his part... He bought. He Paid.

He went above and beyond. He contacted.

Mr. Mem is wholly responsible for this.

Scuba does nopt need to spend extra time making this transaction happen.
