Huff, your guy is getting some attention.
New Jersey Nets forward Sean Williams was arrested for trespassing after violating a restraining order that prevented him from being on the Boston College campus, police said Monday.
Williams, who played for BC from 2004-2007 before being dismissed for violating team rules, was taken into custody Sunday afternoon prior to the BC-Duke basketball game. He posted bond and was released. Williams will be arraigned later this month at Brighton District Court.
The restraining order has been in place since May 2008. Citing federal privacy laws, a Boston College official would not comment on the nature of the order.
It has been a rough year for Williams, the 17th overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft. On Dec. 29, Williams was demoted to the Nets' D-League affiliate in Colorado. New Jersey recalled him Jan. 22. Williams has appeared in 19 games with the Nets this season, averaging 1.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.5 minutes.
