The quality of this division is absolutely insane. Three different national champions over the past five years. This year, perhaps the best three teams in the nation (Alabama, LSU and Arkansas) all come from that division. Arkansas at LSU next Friday should be very fun!

Don't forget Florida's two national championships recently even though they play in the east. Also factor
in how many SEC teams didn't get to play for the national title game because they lost in the SEC title game!

I always thought the PAC 10 to be weak in that respect.

I have always disagreed with the BCS system. I also am a fan of BCS drama hoping someday it leads to a playoff system. I am pulling for Arkansas next week, would be very interesting to see how it plays out, but I would guess regardless if Arkansas beats LSU it would be 2 of LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas in the title game.

Arkansas beating LSU or Auburn beating Bama is what causes the chaos.

If LSU beats Arkansas and Bama beats Auburn. it's pretty much guaranteed to be Bama and LSU in the title game. SEC championship is irrelevant.

If Arkansas beats LSU - BCS rankings determine SEC championship. If it's Arkansas or Bama in SEC game and they lose then they are out with two losses and LSU back in.

LSU basically guaranteed a slot in title game unless they lose to Arkansas and still end up in SEC championship which is conceivable.
