Secret Santa Gifts Thread..

I wasn't sure if I would open my package when it came, or wait for Christmas or what. That was answered the second I saw it at my door. RIP! I'm SOOOOO happy I took part in the secret santa this year. Here's the goods:

First, a ton of Rockies GU, inserts, RCs, and even an RC auto:

I particularly dig the Helton Pristine bat card, the Materialistic (actually never seen one in person before), and of course the Rosario auto. I think the Chin-Hui Tsao will get re-gifted to a colleague of mine from Taiwain.

There was also a box of 2008 Topps Triple Threads. Now, I almost NEVER open wax, so this was a real treat for me, especially being such a high-end product. As I opened the box, a card slipped out. I wasn't aware that these had box-toppers. BUT NO! It's not a box topper! Santa slipped in this beauty of an auto:

What a great card from an all-time classic, on-card auto set! That one caught me by surprise, and I sure dig this card!

So, the Threads box got ripped. I almost forgot how much of a thrill it is to rip wax. Here's the base cards (plus Bobby Crosby)

The hit from the first box was this Fisk triple. Can't go wrong with HOF GUed!

The second hit card: A Colorado Rockie! I actually almost traded for one of these, but never did. I'm not sure how many people who busted this product were happy to pull a middle reliever from the Rockies, but it sure works for a Rockies fan. Here's hoping he can pitch as well in '09 as he did last year.

The Club 3000 is hand-numbered 480/975, and the Fall Classic jersey is 313/100. But I looove the 58! I have always wanted one of those. Thank you, thank you, thank you Santa!

and a card was added saying there is another package coming!!!!
a big thanks to my santa!!! Also the 2nd package came from Rockaway NJ

just got my package today... and i was blown away by the generosity...

First a couple of tyner autos

then some bagwell's...

a 2000 upper deck game used ball
2004 franchise legacy patch (very sweet!)
and a 2003 fleer focus team colors patch, which is very cool in person as well!

So, have we decided if it will be ok to reveal to our Secret Santa recipients we were their SS or is that taboo?

I am just wondering, because I would really like to let my guys know, as I had a blast getting the cards for them and to let them know they are welcome and I look forward to the next year with them on the boards (I like all three of my Secret Santa recipients, as I have conversed with all 3 at some point or another).

Just wondering, because I know two of my guys have received and I am just waiting to see if the third has received as well.

Anthony- I have been thinking about the same thing. My one victim knew it was me because he recognized the return address. My other victim does not know, but I don't see the harm in coming clean. I think it's all up to you. If you want to reveal, feel free. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I had fun putting the Secret Santa packages together.. especially my high end.. It helped that he had a site where I could see all of his Hall of Fame auto's and I found one he didn't have.. and then giving it to him in a unique way..

Hi yea i have the jersey card as well but the best part was i WAS THERE i remeber albert took griffeys place hit a few bombs also Arod hit one at least 600 ft dead center it was a fun time its nice to have these cards to remember it
