Seeing that "FCB" is banned on Beckett, should beckett be...

Should the word "Beckett" be censored on here?

Why do some people tip-toe around the fact they visit the BMB? Seems silly....these BMB threads remind me of junior high relationships gone bad.

I can't believe he broke up with me, you have to promise you will not be his friend any more and please, oh please don't talk to him. Promise? Pinkie promise?

At the end of the day, you are free to visit whatever website you choose...it is not like Gilmore is going to ban someone for posting on another site.

Time to move on to a new topic....I heard a rumor people might be faking patch cards or shill bidding on eBay. Now that sounds interesting!

No.

Like them or not Beckett is still a useful hobby resource (at times).

If Beckett's so bad, why stoop down to their level with the "banning/censoring" nonsense?

Thanked.

For me, I just have no use for Beckett's website. It was my most visited website prior to the creation of FCB, but their website is very confusing and 'loud' to me, for lack of a better word. I come to FCB now to discuss cards, baseball, and statistics/trivia. I know the members, they know me, and everything is just fine. Quite simply, FCB is just a better site to me than Beckett. I'm almost 40 and these internets can be confusing. FCB makes it pretty easy, and I have far less problems here than I did there. It doesn't mean Beckett is bad, it's just that FCB is better (to me).

I've admitted to going there looking for stuff, because I know people there aren't aware of other sites.

The problem is that the site itself is horrible.

It's down 99% of the time because they made it too complicated.
Programming-wise, a simple glitch in one area affects the whole site.
There's no reason that a small glitch in the message board, for example, should shut down the OPG. But everything is so integrated and jumbled, that it all goes down.

Yet the regulars on there will keep paying for the OPG, then complain that it's down.
I've seen quotes like "I just renewed my OPG last night, and the site is down again, this happens every month"

I really wish it was more consistent. I do like the ability to find checklists.
Just too much of a hassle sometimes.

And don't even get me started on the mods!

I'm SOOOOOOO glad I have this site!

I don't get the "about to" thing?

Like, I'm about to go play a round of golf?

What's the problem?

on beckett, only great things are said about FCB. On FCB its quite the opposite
What does that tell you?

I agree. I go to Beckett once in awhile, but don't read the forums. I used the card checklist stuff long time ago, but it isn't as easy to access like it used to be. Hey, I'm an old guy, I don't like change. But like someone else said, it's one hobby website--among many. Go where you wanna go, click what you wanna click.
