Seems the Bears are going for the youth movement. And rebuilding the team.

Julius Peppers and Earl Bennett, Devin Hester, and Henry Melton, plus others have moved on to other teams.

Even Josh McGown although no young is gone too. I hope to god this team can even finish above .500 next season

It would have been foolish to bring any of these players save for maybe Melton back at the prices they would have commanded.
