there aren't many current players out there that have no autos under $100. only one i can think of is ichiro since he doesn't have many auto cards.

I dont keep track of his cards since i dont collect him but i knew his cards had dropped since all that but didnt realize they got that low. And with the World Series i figured prices would be up.

Those Rangers Arod cards are the cheapest as well compared to Yankees or Mariners.

Many of ARod's 2002 autos sell around $60 right now. One exception, which I find to be odd, is the Sweet Spot auto which seems to be around $100. I'd much rather have an on card auto with a picture than a Sweet Spot. By the way, why is this card often listed as 2001 Topps Traded when the back says 2002 Topps Baseball?

Because Topps used to have Series 1 product out by Thanksgiving! So it's Topps 2002, but was printed and released in late 2001. I think people make the mistake of looking at the printing copyright on the back, and make assumptions withough knowing the sets well.

His Mariners autos were hitting $65-$70 a few weeks ago

Probably will rise since he has the ring, but, off season might be around $60 again

We don't need to hear you every time someone talks about the Yankees. Cut the trolling out.

No offense but I'm not of the school admitting you're a cheater makes you any more noble. A cheater is a cheater is a cheater. That said, Miggy is a troll and needs to move on...

This is correct. 2002 Topps Autos was actually the very first set I chose photos for in my short tenure as baseball editor there. It was always the first set printed (because back then all the autos were on-card). That must have been in summer of '01, and when I took the job I was imediately told "pick the photos for those autos, they're weeks overdue!"

Well, let's check it out.

Miguel Cabrera's most expensive card in completed auctions:

!Bdg,1PQBGk~$(KGrHqIH-DgErfHP8otKBK5MmND6oQ~~_35.jpg

$815 dlvd

Alex Rodriguez's most expensive card in completed auctions:

$4080 dlvd

Good thing Miguel Cabrera's cards sell so well since he isn't a known steroid user.
