Self-serve beer stations make debut http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/1...-feature-self-serve-beer-machines?ex_cid=null via SportsCenter http://es.pn/scapp

Kinda cool if you ask me...
Probably just a novelty that could get old quick, but could also catch on

38¢ per ounce on Bud and Bud Light, 40¢ for Leinenkugels Lemon Shandy and a Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale. You show your ID and buy a preloaded card for $10 or $20 (or $50 at the All Star Game) then you go up to the machine and pick your beer and how much you want. Kinda cool

The only thing I wonder is what happens when some drunk drops his card and a kid finds and uses it?

Or someone just does it on purpose. The bartender is the last line of defense against under-age drinking.

The below is in the attached story.....

Jacobs said the machine doesn't eliminate the need for labor. An employee will be at each one to check IDs if a person looks younger than 30 and to prevent any fan who appears inebriated from purchasing beer.

They have bottomless soft drinks at Busch Stadium now for like $9.

I wish they'd have bottomless beer, for say, $75.

Once went to a bar in Spain that had a tap of beer at every table and a digital readout to show your tab. The beer was a Czech beer called Krusovice (which is a good thing because most Spanish beers are crappy).

good times those
