Hey Chris, thanks for making the header on the board today. Really is a special thing to see the remembrance of such a terrible day in our Country's past.

It was my first or second day of the sixth grade. my teacher had told the class what happened, but we didnt really understand the importance of it until we all went home and saw on tv.

My mom picked me up from school..and she was crying. It wasnt until then had I realized something big had happened.

I'm glad you posted about that, because I hadn't seen it. My computer was just showing the regular cached one (had to refresh).

The header looks great.

Ya 10 years ago I was just starting on my professional career at State Farm. I came in a little late that day (I lived right across the street) and my secretary said something had happened at the WTC. OF course State Farm blocked CNN b/c of the hits on it, so we had no clue was going on. My co-worker came in and said "A second plane had hit" and once again, no one could get information. There was a meeting going on in the room where the TV was.. It was a frightful day. I had heard rumors of over 100 planes that were hijacked.
I am grateful for one of my best friends that is an air marshal. I hate to say this, but if we ever come under attack again, I hope he is on the flight and is able to take out the SOB who tries..

In the begining I said I would do it all over again in a heartbeat...
Then the disease set in and it became such a fight... I became bitter.....
I said the next one I would sit out.
When New York went on high alert again a few days ago those feelings came back.
I put my old boots, uniform, flashlight, gloves, and helmet together in my workshop. So I could grab them in a hurry.
It's not what we do, its who we are.....

AMAZIN, thanks for your unselfish attitude so close to Ground Zero, right in the middle of danger. I'm thankful that you were able to make it out.

That is one of the most awesome things I have ever read.

I feel as though I would be the same way... I am the type of person who would drive into a tornado, not away from it.

My son Connor at a local remembrance ceremony. 2,997 flags were planted, one for each victim of the attacks. We got up at 7:00AM this morning and helped set up and hand out programs. I think it's important that the next generation knows about the sacrifice and loss of that day, as well as the patriotism and heroes that it created. So very blessed to live in the USA, it's something we shouldn't take for granted and should always defend.

They (FOX News, no comments on that please) were interviewing Sandra Kay Daniels, the teacher who's classroom was visited by Pres. Bush on September 11th.

Insane. She said that parents rushed to the school to get their kids because they were afraid that the school would be a target.

I am watching about 8 different channels. Right now MSNBC is replaying the original broadcast. It's insane watching the smoke plume over the harbor. History has some interesting documentaries playing.

This is what I am watching and it is just amazing how little they knew. They had no idea what was going on, they knew it was a terrorist attack but they had no clue what was coming next. They were just talking about all of these possibilitys. Watching this now that I can grasp what happened is just astonishing.

I spent about 20 minutes last night watching live broadcasts. In the exact first minutes, some thought it was a bomb, some thought it was a small plane (similar to what Cory Lidle was flying when he crashed), and nobody figured it was a Boeing.

History channel showed a guy falling out of a window. Those are the hardest things to watch.

I passed the factory where those planes were made about 2-3 years ago. I was having a lot of fun so that didn't sink in, but it's crazy.

This was played before the LLWS American Championship. I will try to find the tribute they did for her and one of the firefighters who was killed on Sept 11th. Very sad story.

The Naudet Documentary (or a remake of it I suppose, possibly, I dunno) is on CBS right now. It's one of the most important documentaries about the event. It shows the first plane crash, as well as footage from inside WTC1 as it collapsed. They are broadcasting it un-censored.

I would advise that if you watch it, you prepare for some crazy stuff. I watched the original one a couple years ago and some stuff happened that was pretty intense.
