Have not received a 56T auto for a long time. I had both of these already (Greengrass & Goodman) and won them at opening bid price of $5.99 each and lost the one I actually needed, as it went for over $30 (common).

The Conley was not in the package, so I expect a refund. Maybe the card comes separate after I let the seller know. hopefully I don't have to fight for a resolution. Tired of dealing with that kind of stuff with online purchases.

EDIT. Conley arrived a few days later, mailed separately for some reason.

Been trying to pick up hostess panels on the cheap when I can to fill in the sets I never expected to finish. I am within 15 panels or 76, 78 & 79 and about 10 panels away from a 2nd 77 set. I was maybe 1/2 way on the 75 panel set, but have a lot of single cut cards that probably gets me close to a full set of cards.

I think the 79 Ozzie Smith will be the hardest one, although there are some SPs that may be tricky as well.

Although I didn't collect a lot of these when I was a kid, I did get some and it takes me back to the beginning of my collecting days when I was buying packs of cards, pulling Kelloggs 3D cards from cereal boxes, drinking RC Cola for the player cans, eating Twinkees and cutting panels off the boxes and those round MSA Wiffle Ball cards you got in the box with a ball, to name a few of the cool stuff that was out there at the time.

Cool. You're truly an omnivore!

Got this epic jersey # 22 matched /25 Hogg auto out of the hands of the guy holding the remnants of Dov's collection. Freed it from the irrelevant (and ugly, Martha Stewart would not approve of red and white framing this color card scheme, just sayin!, it looked so awful) PSA holder he put it in too. Literally only the 2nd of these Hogg autos for Rocket I even know of. I ve sen far more red Crusades and platinum golds than of these 25 cards that supposedly exist. Its a good day, Tater.

Call it a curse or a blessing. I am open to just about anything on a trading card and have been doing it almost non-stop since 1978. The more unique and harder to find, the more interesting it is to me, which is probably why I was able to give up buying new packs as easily as I did. I thought it would be much harder. I have boxes and boxes of periodicals/magazines, cans, plastic cups, books, small collector sets, mail-ins, redemptions, boxed sets, factory sets, regional issues, SGAs, food issues, etc. Autographs, cards, photos, 3x5s, postcards and even a few non-flat objects, although I prefer flat for it's ease of storage.

My favorite card experience is to wander into a new shop or show vendor and just browse through their stuff, looking for hidden gems or bargains. I especially love those hobby shops that just have stacks, boxes and shelves full of random stuff, so you never know what you will uncover next.

I have been talking about downsizing quite a bit in the last couple years as the birthdays pass and my kids have still not shown even a passing interest in my collectibles. The amount and variety I have is pretty impressive and would rival any store I have even been in (minus unopened) and sometimes I sit down in my primary card storage area and panic a little on how I would even begin to start selling. I really don't want to let most of it go, but eventually that time will come or my family will be cursing me for the giant pile I leave behind as they blow it out to some lucky SOB who will be getting the deal of a lifetime!

Hardly worth mention, but this Arcia Red /25 brings me back to the start of a current quest to get as many of the Archives /25 cards as i could get each year from 2017-2024. They started Red, but then became Blue later on. This year I still try, but so many unknown names and the ones I do know tend to sell for more than the past (THAT POST-COVID MONEY AGAIN!!). I did already have this one, but it was very cheap. so I bought another..

Enjoying my several recent Hostess panel mail days. This is a series i would someday love to finish. Such great cards and they carry great early memories of collecting for me.

2 day (Fri-Sat) mail day included a Bob Gibson /100 and some more Hostess cards, these are the individual Twinkie cards. 52 of the first 60. I normally see them as much larger, so these were cut down to size, but done so with some expert precision. It was a great deal too, as there are a bunch of great names included in the lot. Of course, these are notorious for the staining from the Twinkies that sat directly on these cards and then were wrapped in a clear cellophane wrapper for individual sales.

1999 Upper Deck - A Piece of History: Babe Ruth #PH Babe Ruth -- Historically important memorabilia card within the hobby. Some condition issues which helped the price, but what I felt more than made up for that was the "premium" bat piece (if that is the right term). Seems to be from the outside of the bat, perhaps a barrel piece, as it has the dark grains as opposed to standard paler wooden pieces which are commonly seen.

@2014BESTSERVICE and @michaelstepper -- Thank you guys!

No Yankee game-used cards were made in 1997 & 1998. 1999 was the first year of pure Yankee relic cards with just a handful of issues.

1999 Black Diamond Bernie Bat
1999 UD Ovation Piece of History -- Jeter & Bernie
1999 E-X Ledee Authen-Kicks /180
1999 UD 500 Club Ruth /50 & Mantle /350
