I think the 2 I have picked up have been completely on accident. I think one was a transaction here, and when I showed off the card, someone ELSE said "hey, sweet jersey number card!"

I think it's better for guy who will only ever have 1 number.

I sold this for a nice premium. It will never be seen again. The collector is an awesome guy whom I now consider a friend. If anyone has any super high-end rare Blue Jays stuff, please PM me.

I love serial numbers! I'm not a fan of the first or last, but I love jersey numbers and other significant numbers.

I think it's more special for collectors of 90's players because they were fewer and farther between. Especially if your player had a higher jersey number. What I really think is awesome is when you get it out of a high print run because the odds are sometimes astronomical. That Frank Thomas Elite #'d 35 out of 10k is astounding to me. My best is a Rusty SPx #d 29/2250.

Here are my two favorite that I have scanned:

Jay Buhner's career HR total - love serial numbers on the front of cards

And this one speaks for itself!

I have got a triple auto of Ripken/Jeter/Stephen Drew that is 2/25 (Would rather have 8/25 but I guess 2/25 is better than 6/25)

I like these cards in this thread! Great to see other people with the same [strike:293r39m0]problem[/strike:293r39m0] [strike:293r39m0]obsession[/strike:293r39m0] collecting habits as me!

This one's for the OP:

(sadly the other variations are #/50 or less, so I can't get jersey #s)

Is there a Jersey-Numbered Card more unique than this one?

It may be hard to see, but it's 030/499 (on the front).

I've never actually cared what the serial number is. I don't usually even notice it until the card is in hand and I'm adding it to a spreadsheet.

I do think it's cool to have a 1/xx or a JSY #/xx, but I'll look at it for a second, think "hey, that's cool" and then not really think much of it again.

This.

I don't care to own 8/# for Albert Belle cards. Just as above, if I land it I think "This is cool" and then I file it away and log it on the checklist and keep moving.

I would love to see a Robert Parrish jersey number card LOL!

If there was any specific card in a print run that I would want, it would be the jersey number one, all other things being relatively the same.

I think it's cool when it's a player that has kept the same jersey number over the course of his career. I pay a premium for 17/X Mark Grace cards, but I don't usually upgrade a card if I already have one of another serial number, unless it's a really good price.

Love his first patch card #17/125

My favorite 17/X Grace items aren't cards though. There are four different versions of this 2002 Absolute Glass Plaque, and I have three of them #17/X. Man I'd love to find the fourth one (auto only) #17/50!
